It's a questione that i made myself before reading an article.

I'm quite disappointed to see that people think that hardcore goes with graphics and the also next-gen goes with graphics.

For me the WiiU is next-gen because introduces an old way of play, the GamePad, in a totally new way, the screen and the in build double screens.

This is next-gen because never before you could play a game with the TV on OFF, also you totally have a console that has every game on digital support, on retail copy and on digital support by retailers, that's pretty new too.

Next-gen means that the whole system works differently from the previous one, hardcore it's not a term for console also, not alone at least, you can only give that term by mentioning games that are not kids stuff or really easy even for a 3 to 7 years old.

That's what i always thinked about games, i made my opinion playing the SNES and now that the GamePad is coming, in such an innovation, that's what i will call next-gen also: innovation.

And now also a question: are you sick of people not understanding this or you are one of 'em?

Who would want to download WiiU games anyway? WiiU has only 8GB storage. With only 1 game your WiiU is full, and it has not to be games like Mass Effect 3 wich are 15GB.

The WiiU is next gen becoz Wii is current gen. But technology wise, Wii was not different from the GameCube, and WiiU has finally catched up to the current gen HD consoles.

How are you able to store games on your PS3? By paying a LOT extra to have a hard drive, correct? And without that HDD, your system has zero storage, yes? WiiU is going to give users the option of hard drive, allowing you to have 2x or even 3x as much space - because you can buy what you want from where you want - for the same price. I know exactly where I'll be able to throw down $60 and have a full terabyte of storage for my WiiU. Can you do that for your PS3?

8GB of storage space is just what the WiiU has without you doing that, and anybody who actually thinks that the 8GB is what the WiiU is limited to is, quite frankly, a complete idiot.

, we dont have to buy a seperate HDD and shelve extra money.

The HDD is included in the pricetag of a PS3.

By a HDD that is standard in every SKU, we dont have to buy a seperate HDD and shelve extra money. The HDD is included in the pricetag of a PS3. Why should I have the option of a HDDless PS3? HDD should be standard. And we can always opt for a bigger 2,5" HDD whenever we feel like. That is an option to PS3.

Good luck finding a 1TB for 60 dollaz lolz

And if you calculate the difference in price between one model and the next, you find you pay the price of hundreds (if not thousands) of GB just to get a few dozen. Console makers rip us off regularly, charging drastically more for their specific HDDs than you'd pay if you got one on your own, and it's bullshit. No, hard drives being included should NOT be a standard - not if I'm going to be charged two to five times more per gigabyte than it's actually worth. You are 100% wrong. If your "option" is to be ripped off, then by all means, you can let them take advantage of you, and I will continue happily putting that money to a new game or three.

Also, done. No tax, free shipping, $64, in stock, new. Next?

Hello, my name is 1TB usb harddrive and I am really cheap now. Have you met my many siblings? We come an every size imaginable to best fit yoru needs. Oh who's that lonely expensive guy? He's our distant retarded cousin, the proprietary drive. Yeah he has no siblings and costs twice as much as I do. But, hey don't worry, you get to choose what you want or need and its really cheap! Goodbye now.

I won't even comment on your next paragraph as its completely bs and stupid.

Look at that bolded sentence, this is where you are wrong. It is ridicilous. Prove to me how we are charged 2 to 5 times more per GB then its worth? I'd rather pay 250 bucks for a 160GB PS3 then  a 250 bucks 8GB WiiU.

Btw fail, why did you give me an 3,5" internal hard drive? The WiiU doesnt support internal hard drives let alone 3,5" ones. It'll be external HDDs, good luck finding one at 60 dollaz.

It was $100 extra to get a 60GB instead of a 20GB. It was $100 to get an 80GB instead of 40GB, and $100 more to upgrade to 160GB, all the while when you could buy 750GB 2.5in HDDs for the same price. Right now they charge $50 extra to upgrade from a 160GB to 320GB, when that same price - once again - is vastly more than you can ever possibly be charged for the same thing.

And have you ever heard of external enclosures? They're fantastically magical devices that turn any internal harddrive into external - and many people already have one or can at least purchase one for less than $10!

You said its 2 to 5 times more expensive, so show me how the HDD in the 160GB model is 2 to 5 times more expensive then its worth? Are you saying that a HDDless PS3 would be 150bucks?

Now you're going to external enclosures? Lol, okay, find me an external enclosure that you'll plaster your HDD in. Lets see the total cost.

Turkish, can you just GTFO?? If you're really interested in the HDD topic, make a damn thread about it.

You constantly derail non-Sony topics, just fyi you're the kind of person that makes Nintendo fans hate Sony fans.

Chimed in just to say that PS3 uses a standard 2.5" HDD. You can buy any 2.5" HDD from Newegg.com or anywhere else and pop it into the PS3.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Is it next gen because you have to charge the pad every 3 hours?

I know battery life reduction seems to be the main change every time i get a new phone.
