It wasn't fully confirmed, just hinted at, and unless the inevitable Battlefield 4 comes to the Wii U, I highly doubt there will be an actual Battlefield game on the Wii U.  

By the time it launches its going to have a massive line-up.

However, the real question is when will Nintendo actually prove to the self proclaimed 'core' group why they need to upgrade from PS360. They need to show positive proof about game differences in 3rd party or have a first party game that pulls in that Gears/COD/Uncharted crowd (less likely ?Retro?).

EA released just two games in 2006 for the Wii. So he's being rather literal, when he says that they have a couple more games to announce for Wii U launch, and that their support for the Wii U launch will be stronger than it was for the Wii launch.

Mass Effect 3 + two more games = 3 games for 2012, which is more than 2 games for 2006.

Hopefully, he's not being completely literal, and it's two unannounced games in addition to the ones that haven't been officially announced, but have been unofficially confirmed by EA. That is, hopefully the lineup is, at least, Mass Effect 3, Madden 13, FIFA 13, and two more games. Five games for launch is a strong presence, not that far behind Ubisoft. Three, on the other hand, is a lacklustre amount of third-party support.

I'd hope that the lineup lookjs, at minimum, like this: Madden 13, FIFA 13, NBA 13, MoH: Warfighter, NFS Most Wanted, and Mass Effect 3. That lineup would convince me that EA are serious about supporting the system. New IPs and exclusives can show up later, if they want - I'm not too fussed, as long as they bring their bigger titles.
