It's got a 854 x 480 screen, I believe. So yeah, it isn't great. But I don't think that matters as much as the fact that it's there. Why would developers support this PS3 (or PS4)/Vita cross-play if no one has a Vita? Think about how every Wii game supports the Wiimote and how few PS3 games support the Move. Now imagine that divide, but 100x worse.


Maybe Sony won't even need it, and I wouldn't expect them to implement it as any more than an add on in certain games like most of their peripherals.  Not having Kinect or the Wii Mote isn't stopping them from having the best selling console week in and week out at this point in the current gen.

Maybe. I really do hope they pin their hopes on their awesome first party and not on half-assed attempts to answer whatever peripheral Nintendo is pushing at the moment.
