From my understanding, it's just an overly dressed up version of the obligatory minigames collection you get at the launch of a console/handheld to show its features. Wii had Wii Sports, PSVita had Little Deviants etc. This is effectively what it is. Remember in the original 2011 reveal when they showed the Shuriken demo? That's in here but in a different guise, there are 11 other activities that you can do allegedly.

Oh, if that's the case then both are nothing alike (from what I know), Miiverse is just an evolved version of the Miicreator screen (that bit where all the Miis on your console walk around aimlessly) on the Wii.
