I should probably have rephrased that, I've put over 100 hours in combined in LBP and LBP 2.  Back in the winter of 2008/9, when not many new releases on the other platforms interested me, combined with school holiday and a few days off when we had heavy (by U.K standards) snow, I sunk an insane amount of time into the first game.  When I was in the mid teens it was probably the best of my PS3 games for friends as well, there was something about several immature 16 year old guys and the game that quite often resulted in penis themed levels.

To  be honest, one of my biggest gripes with the PS3 is that it feels that a very high proportion of the games I was/am hyped for are taking forever to come out.  I don't know what the hell is going on with The Last Guardian, Final Fantasy VS XIII is taking a lifetime, even though it is scheduled for a January release Ninokuni feels like it is taking forever (the original DS game released in Japan in late 2010).  I love my PS3, I just feel that a lot of my games I have/want for it are either taking forever to come out or have slightly disapointed me (RE5, MGS4, FFXIII).

5th was my favourite generation. Out of the two you listed, I've probably liked them both equally. 6th probably pips it slightly.

I'd say I've spent more like 300+ hours in LBP 1 & 2.  Aside from the level editor which you can go into as much depth as you want, it's the replay value that kept me coming back.  Popping on every now and again to play with friends over PSN is a blast, but even solo - if you go back even just once a fortnight, there's normally 5-6 decent levels on the MM picks section which can give you anything above 30 minutes of gameplay.  Especially if you're a fan of platforming levels, there's always a lot of those.

Definitely the game I felt most deserved paying full price for, I've gotten a lot of milage out of it.

The latest generation is always the best generation as you can play the vast majority of games from all the previous generations.

Well, since the XBOX had tons of bad games I'd say that this is a better generation for them. Sure, every console has its share of shitty games but the Xbox has a disproportionately higher percentage of them. In fact, I think only the N64 rivals the Xbox in the shitty to good title ratio

Hmm this is a tough one. Wii and 360 are better than the GameCube and Xbox but the PS2 is better than the PS3. I can't decide. >_

That's a real tough one. 6th generation portables were pretty awesome. But I feel 7th generation portables easily eclipse them. I feel the exact opposite about home consoles. There are still PS2 games I haven't had the opportunity to play yet and For PS360 or Wii I feel like there just hasn't been as much of interest to me no matter how hard I look. I still prefer earlier generations to those but 6 & 7 were the only options in the polls.

Good thread,its a tough one. I have had more choice this gen due to me owning multiple consoles and handhelds (i have owned them all this gen a one point) where as last gen i only owned the Gamecube. That said the Gamecube did give me quite a few "wow" moments- Playing Metroid Prime for the first time, The cel shaded graphics of the windwaker, Resident evil exclusivity for a while, Eternal darkness (what a game) etc.
This gen i have really enjoyed the hell out of the Wii, the Super Mario galaxy series is an instant classic,as is Skyward sword, and Xenoblade,well need i say more, one of the best games of all time. Im not really a big fan of COD but you cant argue the impact it has made on gamers this gen and lastly Batman Arkham city has to have a mention. I am so impressed with this game that it is easily up there on my best games ever list. I think im going to have to toss a coin for this one.
