So I've just watched the full 3DS show. My conclusion, Meh!
Discuss?
i saw it coming form miles away
Mediocre
games looked cool tough, excpet for NSMB2
Meh, we already knew they were gonna show this. I just kinda of hope for one surprise u.u
03/10/09 HUGE day in my life:
The games shown all looked good, but there were no unveils wich is beyond boring. Why do these companies think we tune in to watch these presentations? What a bore.
THEY SHOWED NO NEW GAMES!!!
At the E3 conference they said that they had a ton of new games to show, and for now they will only show 3 (Luigi and Mario x2), and this 3DS conference was just that Scribblenauts, Castlevania, and a little talk about Pokemon.
....
I'm not getting a 3DS until they announce Fire Emblem is being localized. That's all I really wanted this E3. That and Pandora's Tower, looks like I'm importing.

My biggest Meh moment was when I realised I had seen/heard about all the games before and it is 3 in the morning. Was 1 surprise too much to ask for???
Again, even after yesterday, the lackluster presentations from all companies, people over-hyped for this. I think Nintendo showed the games they felt were important. One complaint third parties had in the WIi and DS generation was that they didn't get much support from Nintendo. Nintendo really is pushing these 3rd party games, which in my opinion is both a good business strategy and commendable. Everybody knows about Nintendo games. The extra time obviously will make it boring, because they have the time to thoroughly go through each game. Overall, it was great.
3DS is in such a state of blockbusterdness that it doesn't need blockbusters anymore.
Seriously, imagine this holiday in japan...
(The Trinity from last year) + 2D Mario + Luigi's Mansion + Paper Mario + Animal Crossing + Shin Megami Tensei 4 + Monster Hunter 4!
I think we'll see records shattering, no doubt!
(in retrospect, DS got it's first 3rd party big game 2 years in its lifetime)

Yea, but in an interview about the 3DS price cut, Nintendo blaimed themselves for not being able to put out any first party software until late (Kid Icarus was a year late). They said they would be making a lot of new games for 3DS to populate the library real soon....
All I wanted was Fire Emblem....
Best selling FE in Japan yet and Americas sales always match Japans.
