Great sales, but I don't like saying GoW3 sold 5m until it sold 5m individually. GoW:Trilogy owners & GoW3 owners could overlap. It's unlikely, but it's possible, so it's not official.

True, and they include download sales too. However for the earlier games, like the PS2 ones, I suppose "Sold" numbers would be the same as "Shipped".

And I don't suppose there will be a lot of copies sitting on the shelves for the PSP versions, and even GoW II considering its more than 2 years old.

Collectors - people that buy every version of God Of War available. People that couldn't find Gow1 or GoW2 elsewhere, so they were forced to buy the collections. Either way, we can't prove that they don't all overlap, so it's not official.

But I don't want to rain on your parade. I'm sure at least 50k of the GoW: Trilogy owners don't overlap, so it's pretty unlikely that it hasn't sold 5m. It's just more official and it looks better for it to do it individually.

OT: Congrats to God of War III. I expected no more than 4.7mill, so this is a pleasant surprise and will soon be Sony's 3rd 5 million selling franchise. Next up, LittleBIGPlanet.

I honestly don't see LittleBigPlanet reaching 5 million. With LBP2 now being cheap, and the PSN outage give-away, it doesn't seem likely. I could see TLoU getting there though.
