Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo had a good conference! Stop over-hyping ourselves!

at least we know it can 1080p

that singing game was terrible and they chose to show it. The Pn 100 game or whatever it's called looks 30x better than that and yet they showed that disaster of a singing game anyways. And they ended on Nintendo Land? are kidding me. They could of saved the conference with one big surprise, but no they ended it with fireworks at Nintendo land, what a let down. I will admit though that it's partly my fault for being too overhyped.

Well i agree about the over hyped part. But that not chanced the fact that Sony, Nintendo anbd Microsoft can do it better. Why the fucking hell did Sony not show a Trailer for the New Ratchet and Clank Game. I just dont get it.

Oh so now its our fault for actually expecting great things from a brand new console that is said to launch the next generation of gaming. Its only natural we want great things to come that we never expected before from a new platform.

But no, Nintendo just gave us so little in terms of good core games. I can't believe they didn't learn from their mistakes with the 3DS launch, that you need new and interesting first party software to have a successful hardware. They are again counting on some of these year old 3rd party titles to steal the show, but they won't because people have already played them. Speaking about 3rd parties, why were so few games being showcased, there's no reason why all the 360/PS3 games coming out this holiday shouldn't also come to Wii U at least as a straight port. But we only saw a few older games being shown, what the heck?

Same would go for Nintendo, if NintendoLand was not at the end, but say they ended with Pikmin 3 and some other things they started with, how would it have been perceived?

Still poorly, because of a lack of content. See, e.g., Sony's conference.

This conference was abysmal, 80% casual, with (again) to much mario and nothing original. All French websites came to the same conclusion. Leave your cocoon and face the truth : no third party developer takes WiiU seriously. In the current state of affairs WiiU will be flattened by PS360 in 2012/2013, not to mention by PS4/Xbox3 later.

And Warner Bros, the first Tekken and (if we count the rebooted franchise as its own thing) Ninja Gaiden to hit a Nintendo home console. EA offered a good deal of praise last year, too.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

yes with lots of casual games, no Watchdogs (confirmed by a French site for PS3, X360 and PC), no Splinter Cell, no Far Cry and an AC3 which we don't know when it will be released... Leaves ZombiU which could have been interesting if you didn't have to raise your gamepad to snipe.

Warner Bros > everyone has finished Arkham City already

Tekken Tag 2 > Hitting PS360 first, and honestly not such a strong title

Ninja Gaiden > a game which got destroyed in reviews

EA > I guess everyone has Mass Effect 3 by now...
