Hey I just realized: Where's Dragon Quest X?!? Maybe it's not a big franchise in the west but launching with a fully fledged exclusive MMORPG would sure give them more cred with the core. I understand the Wii version not coming, but nothing on WiiU's version?

Also. No Wii news. Nothing on Kirby's Anniversary. :(

What the hell were they thinking?? Is there something we don't know?? Why mention Pikmin if they're not gonna mention other possible upcoming games.

One thing we do know, Nintendo's stock bounced 3% today. two words: WTF

Apparently shareholders care about casual gamers.

Re: Launch games - The list is extremely telling. WiiU is f---ed before it even began. The 3rd parties are clearly vetoing WiiU.

No Activision. - World's largest publisher. Notta. Most telling - No CoD:BO2.
Virtually no EA - After they had the head EA guy on stage last year talking about how they are working together. End result - One port of a 9 month old game. Not even EA Sport Active 3 (their top selling Wii game). No Dead Space 3. No Madden. No FIFA.
Capcom - Long time ally. Squat. No RE6...
Square Enix - No Tomb Raider. No Dragon Quest X - ?

Ubisoft came out swinging. Did for Wii too and it paid well for them. Nintendo should just buy Ubisoft. Having Assassin Creed, etc exclusive would do them wonders.

No one prospered more from Wii than Sega. In return - Two games for Wii U. Must admit - releasing Sonic Kart prior to Mario Kart looks like a winning move.

Other publishers: Not much to see here.

If support is this weak to start... WiiU will need Wii-like sales out the gate, and even then it'll be a long wait for Activision/EA/Etc to jump on board. By the time they decide too, they'll be too busy making games for PS4/720 which won't be compatible with WiiU.

Come again? I'm pretty sure that means their stock went up 3%, unless I'm reading it wrong or don't understand english...

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Wth Mass Effect 3 is coming out for it? Will WiiU players be given the option to make ME1+ME2 choices or will they only have ME3?

Maybe they will have a playable comic like they made for the PS3 version of ME2. But I think ME3 has a thing at the beginning that you can make key event choices if you aren't importing a game.

A playable comic makes sense. The only choices you get to make at the beginning of ME3 is if you want Ashley or Kaiden in your party, the rest is pretty much pre-determined unless you import a save.

Didn't know the choices were that limited. Well here is hoping for a comic.

Bah, just double-checked and I'm not even so sure anymore.

@danne. Yeah, the stock went up 3.33% at market opening this morning. Funny thing about it, that was before the E3 presentation! Ah, the market is just bullocks, call it a self-fulfilling prophecy. Stockholders betted on a big reveal and a profitshare increase for Nintendo, so it goes up (before the presentation). After the presentation, articles use the bounce to say that shareholders are happy about what they saw... This industry is blowing my mind into smitherines.

"Nintendo Co.  NTDOY 3.34%  wrapped up its press event at the E3 conference on Tuesday without a price or specific launch date for its Wii-U console, which expected to come out later this year.

Investors didn’t seem to mind the omission, as the U.S.-listed shares rose about 3% immediately following the event."

http://blogs.marketwatch.com/specialreport/2012/06/05/nintendos-mum-on-key-launch-details/

That's not what I see in the graph!

All this to say, I like when Nintendo makes money, when it makes them make games that I like. Otherwise, why be a fan???

my thoughts exactly, if they really want the hardcore they have to get every Ps3/Xbox360 game, and they don't even have the basics, GTA V and CoD, so they cannot proceed

plan failed at early stages, and that's why 2/3 of conference was on casual!?

I hope that's not the case but facts fit together

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

That's right. This is why they did so well during the Wii's life cycle. They will make bank, since they are making up almost a quarter of the launch lineup. The other publishers weren't smart, not porting at least one of their big games to the Wii U for launch. They don't even need to use the Wii U touchscreen. Surprised that there was neather CoD: BlOps 2 or BF3...

No Dragon Quest X should tell you the obvious: it's an incomplete list.

Some people are really overreacting today.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
