One thing I noticed was less Kinect demonstrators haha. Most of the Kinect stuff that was shown was voice recognition. I think there was two Kinect games there that used motion but that's it.

I noticed this too.  The whole time watching I was thinking how is just using a mic taking advantage of kinnect.  Can't the PS3 do this with PS Eye, and the Wii / Wii U do this with Wii speak, or the embeded mic in the Wii U controller.  This doesn't seem to be that big of a deal.

after that choose any picture you want

hit the little "..." bubble on the bottom right corner.

pick "Use as Start Screen"
