Someone thought Zack & Wiki was funny? It's a great game and extremely difficult (after you get out of the first map), but I can't see how anyone would find it funny.

Anyways, I would suggest you try the new Fire Emblem. That has been my favorite single player Wii game by far. Zelda, RE4, and MP3 would be close behind that. Then probably Godfather and SMG. Godfather would be absolutely meh if it wasn't for the controller.

 

(The aforementioned list is for single player games only.  It would be entirely different with multiplayer added in.)

I would be interested in you trying a good FPS on the Wii and then your comments concerning the controls vs. the controls on the 360. I imagine you played lots of FPS on the 360. So far I heard MP3 and MOH2: Heroes (or such) have the best controls...

From my experience, IR is more fun and precise than dual analog, and more fun than mouse and keyboard but not more precise (experiences based off MoH:H2 and MP3).

Agreed. I think it's more fun that mouse/keyboard because you're actually pointing and shooting. It feels much more natural to me.

And yes, I second the play MP3 idea for gebx-- it is the bomb-diggity.

360 would usually be with dual analog, right?

I think this webiste is the only place where I would hear a idscussion so civil about Wii vs. 360. I think that for many they serve as a good compliment, as the games in general target very different tastes. I attended a friends birthday where he recieved a 360 and a few games(he was already a Wii owner). Everyone enjoyed watching Halo for a while, and we also played Call of Duty 4. But it was teh Mii Channel and WiiSports that we played teh most.

So I say enjoy your systems, we live in a blessed time for gaming where some much good entertinemnt is available.



Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

It all boils down to the type of games that you like.

SMG is somewhat easy -- at least at the early levels (My 5-year old can play it pretty well). So it has a Wow factor but early on does not have a challenge factor.

Z&W is a different game -- one that takes more thought than reaction.

Both are old school (and Z&W is very old school) in their attraction.

Well, as a 360 fanboy the games you should probably be playing are Metroid Prime 3, Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles all of which I can personally recommend. I'm excited for No More Heros and Smash Brothers but as they are not out I can't actually give a personal recommendation....yet. Glad you liked Wii Sports, I didn't think I was going to like that one either but I ended up loving it too. xD

I have MP3 and I liked it, but still, WiiSports is my favorite. I wasn't that big on RE either for some reason. Give me Ghost Squad!!!!
