At this point the need to be. Although the PS3 is doing great so far, the Vita is dying so it's due or die time.

I feel like nintendo might miss the mark this year.  

Seems like Sony will just follow MS lead...focus on the current gen, keep things steady. Exactly what they don't need and cant afford.

After MS conference being pretty lacklustre this is a great chance for Sony. Hope they bring it. IMO leaving everything for next year will be too late. MS will have the 720 hype going, Wii U will have some sort of momentum going hopefully (for gamings sake.). So yeah Sony will just fall in line with some PS4 hype. Nothing special.

A PS4 announcement will kill it ^_^

If Sony shows Versus I think they can win hands down. People are craving information.

Well they will surely show The Last of Us and God of War Ascention gameplay stuuf with will blow everyone away for sure. Than they will have some nice Vita Anouncements ( if we can go by all the rumours)
and maybe they surprise us all with a ps4 ( i doubt it)

So they have the chance to be the best or have atleast a kick ass show.

if they announce that Gaikai collaboration, and start streaming games on ps3 and vita from the ps1/ps2/and ps3 era.. That would be huge

With all these ratings going on, is it better to rate by
1) Break it down - ps3 specific vs 360 specific annoucements
OR
2) Overall - sony conference (vita, ps3, ps2) vs microsoft conference (360) vs Nintendo conference(wii, wiiU, 3ds)
