Wax looks interesting. Does it work properly with HD? Can I remove the sound from a clip and replace it with other sounds? |
Not sure about HD, as for sounds, yes.

Can I just record 720/1080p videos with it and store them on my own, local pc? I don't really care about livestreaming. |
Yeah it does that too.
| pezus said: Why would you want something better than Fraps? It's almost perfect for what it does. Sony Vegas has changed a lot since you last used it, I am sure. Just try out the trial and see how you like it. |
Doesn't fraps kill your fps?
Like from 60 to 40
Fraps cost money. Fuck that.
With tweaking, Xfire can be used to record video at 60 or 30 fps at whatever resolution you want. And you can toggle if you want to record audio or not. Default is no audio recording.

I just downloaded the Fraps Demo. I went from 30 to 20 frames in Empire Total War. Seemed 'reasonable'... But I went from 75 to 20 in Minecraft. What's the problem?
| pezus said: Woah. Are you recording 30 FPS video? |
I tried all kinds of FPSs. 60, 40, 30. Didn't make any difference.
