Forums - Sony - Assassin's Creed Vita - updated again, now with full page scans!

I couldn't have cared less about the franchise now that it's out of Italy, but I'm actually interested in this game. I'm digging the art style, and as long as the gameplay is the same as the second, I'll be in for a treat. I just hope this doesn't come out this year as I'm slowly running out of monies for games.

And as a side note the not very spectacular bloodlines on psp sold 1.5 million at retail. So this should be pretty big.

That's roughly a 2% attachment ratio so the best this new game can do right now if it can match it is a litte over 42,000.  If it sells over 100,000 copies anytime soon from lauch I will be very surprised.  Low sales are actually a good thing for this game it will increase the changes of a enhanged home console port very soon.  Also most of Bloodlines sales came after the game was heavily discounted.  It only sold 440,000 copies its first ten weeks I'm guessing close to a million copies where sold at a discount price.

Bad logic. Just wanted to point that out.

You do know even the biggest games don't have a high attachment ratio when the generation is coming to a close, right? The potential for a high attach ratio is much higher early on

Even if it can get a 10% percent attachment ratio around launch time their are just not enough Vita's out their for the game to get very high sales numbers.  Also many people already metioned it the game will get overshadowed by the console version of Assassin's Creed 3 which will get most of the sales.

It will have legs, like all big games early in a system's life.

Well lets hope so the only game on the Vita with any legs so far is Uncharted: Golden Abyss (also the only Vita game in the global 100 in weekly sales) all other Vita games sales died out before a couple of weeks.

Obviously it will not sell like the mainline Assassin's Creed III but it will sell if done right or great marketing or if the price is right.

So your saying that it will get most of its sales at a discounted price like Bloolines on the PSP did.

No, if the price isn't $50. 30-40 is a good range.

I'm glad it is a standalone game, but I'm really hoping this turns out good, otherwise I would have preferred a port of AC3

Well the Sony press conference pretty much answered the question it will get most of its sales through bundles.

Like I said, all big games

So your saying that Uncharted: Golden Abyss is the only big game the Vita has right now.
