All handhelds(2011 YTD)=2,465,541

Looks like Handhelds aren't as bad off as people said they would become.

The market is the same size, but Nintendo took a large chunk of Sony's market share. And will take more the following weeks/months, especially with Mario.

It's gone up at least a little, even that matters seeing as how people thought it would do worse. (2'465 --> 2'478.)

Even if Nintendo took more Market it still is good news.

Oh, yeah... in japan it's not portables that are threatened, it's the consoles! 3DS+Vita probably won't be what DS + PSP were, but they're very confortable, as far a market size goes.

Okay, so I had a chance to check out the store again tonight on my way back home. It's Friday night and the game went on sale on Thursday, so basically 2 days of selling and the store was completely sold out of DQM: Terry, both the standard game and the DQM 3DS bundles. I haven't had a chance to check out the big stores in my city yet though. I'll probably be able to check them out (at least really quickly) before I head out of the city to my gf's place.

I remember before Fire Emblem had also sold out at the store (as well as the big stores in my city), but that's because Nintendo didn't ship enough copies. I'm guessing DQM would have a higher shipment than FE.

Oh and today in the mail I just got my Fire Emblem: Awakening music selection CD from Club Nintendo. It has 20 tracks and 64 minutes of music (I believe) from the game. Nice! I still need to rip the music from the Kid Icarus CD I got through Club Nintendo as well.

Heh, I was just checking out the hori.jp site when I saw that keyboard there! It looks alright, but the Razer Lycosa keyboard that I bought 4 years ago is still working fine.

I'm still not sure about DQX. I'd like to get it, but I don't want to pay the monthly fee. If it was just a regular single player game with optional online stuff, I'd be all over it. Not too long after the game releases in August, I'm going to be visiting family in California, so my "20days of free play" time would be partially wasted. I do want to pick up the 16GB USB stick though. Hori will be selling them separately, so I don't have to pick up the game/usb bundle if I want it.

Not too long ago I did pick up this Slime Tower Speaker set that I found at a store on clearance.(60% off!) It was great with my 3DS and DSi/Lite, but for some reason it didn't work well with my iphone at all, which is what I wanted it for. It was great with my gf's ipod touch though, so I gave it to her as she's a big DQ fan.
