Forums - NSFW Discussion - Porn site advertising

You know the ones: "Hot girls in YOUR AREA want to meet you", "Double your penis length without drugs!" and the like. The thing is, it's obvious that these adverts are complete lies, and they probably just link you to viruses and whatnot. How can they be allowed to advertise this without there being a hint of truth within the ad?

A similar situation with adverts found on less seedy websites (I've seen this one on VGChartz): "YOU ARE 1,324,526TH VISITOR GET LAPTOP NOW"; how can they be allowed to advertise this if it's just a scam? Does somebody actually get a laptop and everyone else gets their details stolen? What about "MUM OF 40 DISCOVERS CURE FOR WRINKLES THE DOCTORS DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW" or "SINGLE MOTHER MAKES £400 A DAY FROM HOME" - I mean seriously, what the hell?

Does the internet actually have some sort of advertising protection authority, or are online advertisers allowed to make up whatever they like to get people to click on their ads?

The thing that really makes me wonder is if there is any kind of profitability at all in it. I mean, there has to be like three people, in the entire world that are stupid enough to click that shit.

The thing is that they mainly profit from people who accidentally clicks on them.
