Far less than Ocarina with a much bigger installed base. If that's not pathetic I don't know what it is.

Then you don't. Skyward Sword is going through now what Majora's Mask did 11 years ago: lowered interest as a result of several factors that do not reflect on the series as a whole.
Majora's Mask didn't kill the series. Skyward Sword hasn't either.

And you change the subject. No arguments, I presume.
the screen also creates new windows when it comes to the usage of some of the items. I can see nintendo using the screen to show the "beetle" cam or maybe when you fire an arrow the screen will show the trajectory of the arrow. The obvious lens of the truth and maybe something like the mirror shield as well.
In the meantime...

I hope they come up with a use for the tablet that both makes sense and isn't overly cumbersome.
I am still not sure what that use would be though... Sword/Shield controls should remain an option, though maybe improve on them a bit by making use of the double sensor bars (one on the TV and another on the tablet) for better tracking if this is possible.
Allowing annotations on the world and dungeon maps doesn't sound like a big deal to me but may be something that allows the team to make the world a bit more sophisticated and challenging to navigate, which I know some would appreciate. Managing your inventory is an obvious one as well.
Still, I can't think of any "killer" new uses of all the functionality the tablet brings.
Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

I wonder if Zelda will go back to A=attack since it's pretty much a classic controller. I dont see myself swinging the tablet as a sword. I guess it will be WM+ compatible, though...
