Forums - Nintendo - An EX Midway employee claims nintendo used his Technology to make the Wii.

Well in the report he claims to have some patents held for this invention as well as some others. Apparently the other ones don't count as much as this one to him (go figure), he also said he just wants some royalties for the so called invention that he made first.

Hm, the clues in the thread title don't make much sense. The capital letters spell the words "Wet Max". Who is this Max and why is he wet?

There have been better joke threads...

^yeah but when he makes joke threads they rock

The reason I was so persistent on this one is because I've seen a lot of these claims before on and off the internet (remember before and when the Wii launched?) And this is the only one that I've seen that really may have some grounds to it.

Now I know that Nintendo is most certainly not known for copying anything from anyone and I doubt they'll image for this case either. I think that Nintendo acted just in time because it seems like everyone was eyeballin' the concept of the Wii. If they held out any longer I think this whole situation would be entirely different.

omg, another failed calvin klein underwear model

heres the thing--that sorta thing was already in arcades--he was just taking that idea and tryng to get it to a home machine--so he fails

Wait a moment, are you trying to say that a smart, creative employee at Midway came up with a revolutionary invention that would turn gaming on it's ear, but he was probably just smacked down by the suits in favor of another release of Mortal Kombat playable on all electronic devices in the known Universe?

Yup ... that sounds exactly like the Midway I know!
