How do you know that? I think the first iPhone launched in 2007, yes? I know that because the Apple brand has never been as strong as in recent years. God knows what sick numbers Apple would have pulled off if it weren't for this crisis (or maybe they took advantage of it somehow?).

The bottom line is though that poor economy won't stop people from buying certain expensive electronics.

I know, but it'll be mostly gamers buying the console since casual gamers won't be interested in it partly due to the prize

If launched in November 4-6 million units. My bet is Nintendo won't have the shortages they did with Wii. Nintendo had trouble stocking the Wii they hadn't been ready for the high demand. My bet is that Nintendo sells 2-million units within the first month and an additional 2 million by Jan 1.

If we are talking fiscal 2013 this year. My bet is 12-14 million units. Assuming the console is 350$ or lower at retail. Nintendo will need at least one casual title at launch. I know they will have an overwhelmingly core focus but a few casual games are needed to have the success they had with Wii.

After Nintendo rescued 3DS I don't think WiiU will do substantially worse then Wii!

seriously? 4-6 MILLION units? that's up to twice the amount the Wii sold... I do not see the WiiU becoming a smash hit like the Wii... I'm guessing 80 m LTS...

I'll wait until E3 to see which games are at launch, the release date and the price, after those things are announced I will predict how much it will sell
