Not sure about that.  I think it did in the past with games like Castle Crashers and Trials HD.

Doubtful. I get someone buyin a 360 because they see XBLA has a ton of great games, but to say 1 game alone moves hardware? I don't think so.

A little late but thanks anyway.

The sales for Minecraft have been absolutly phenominal, MS and Mojang have to be loving it.

That being said no I don't think its moved any systems CURRENTLY, though with word of mouth being so overwhelmingly positive its possible it may move a few consoles over time but nothing serious.

@ Vgking and pezus

neither of you have obviously worked gaming retail.

Console exlusives sell systems constantly, mostly due to the fact that not as serious gamers ( roughly 85% of the marketshare ) don't sit on forums and read gaming websites all the time. Many people who play video games litteraly have zero idea stuff like Minecraft and the Witcher are even available on anything besides 360.

Why would this game sell Xboxes when it has been available on PC for a long time?

Co-op fans mostly and people with really crappy PCs that are on the fence.
Not that much I guess.

Except for the fact that I sell daily Minecraft copies from my stores.........

this isn't something I think its something I know for a fact.

That being said yes Minecraft is more well known, but I also daily since the game has released come into my store and ask me what the hell it is and why their friends are all talking about it. Real life, is much different than internet forums.

How does that happen? O.o you mean like Live/Steam cards orso? Or is Minecraft a boxed product on pc? (Serious question)
