Rockstar is handing out its 2003 racer Midnight Club 2 for free on Steam.

To claim a complimentary download, all you need to do is have an active Steam account andjoin Steam's Official Rockstar Games Community page by 6.00pm on 15th May.

It's non-giftable and, alas, you get nothing if you already own the title.

It's well worth a few mouse clicks - the Rockstar San Diego-developed effort scored a sturdy 9/10 on PlayStation 2 back in the day.

"One of the most enjoyable games released this year," read Eurogamer's Midnight Club 2 review.

Done and done. Also. Portal 2 was like 7 bucks yesterday.

I played it on PS2 and found it dull, but free is free.

You forgot the best part. :(

This game does not support Windows 7 or Windows Vista.

damn, oh well free is free

Kinda surprised that it wasn't the Max Payne games TBH anyway

P.S. http://www.nicolaspeople.com/ch3rokeesblog/?p=33 aparently the Steam version runs on Win 7/Vista

It is reported working on steam forums since 2011 on Vista and 7. The steam game page has not been updated it seems. Cheers :)
