I know someone already made a thread about Pokemon WiiU but I feel like this idea should deserves its own. I believe the WiiU controller can increase the probablity of a main Pokemon series game on a home console by being more convenient and portable like the handhelds.
It is a fact that one of the reasons why Gamefreak does not want to release a main Pokemon game on home consoles is because it wouldn't be convenient and portable as the handheld games. True, a Pokemon game on a console could run like the handheld ones. You could walk around in the wild grass for a few seconds, find a wild pokemon and defeat it or capture it in under 5 minutes. But that would be too simple. People would probably want to see more going on. What take 5 minutes in a Pokemon handheld game could take twice as long in a home console game. This is cubersome when Pokemon has quite a bit of level grinding before the player reaches a next town, city, or gym.
However, with the WiiU, players might not be bothered about the time. Players can now remove the game from their TVs and play it anywhere at anytime. It's like playing a handheld Pokemon game that takes a lot longer to get things done but has prettier graphics, details, and can, again, be played at anytime and anywhere. The portability and convenience will make the timing seem less troublesome.
