There are alos no stats, they allocate themselves so you won't waste your time choosing. What kind of people think that that's fun in any kind of way?

Whining? Maybe I am. But don't tell me I haven't thought about it, I've been playing and loving Blizzard games since Lost Vikings first came out and I've been keeping my eyes on this for a decade.

I like Diablo 3. I don't really like Diablo 2. The reason why is D2 just has an archaic skill system. I do like the set paths. But trying to figure out what the fuck to do is a pain in the ass.

I don't like the UI in D2 which makes its skill system complicated. I wish they kept the same skill system in D3 but just made the UI better. Instead they made the UI better and the skill system worse.

However, I'd like to finish the game before I continue to bitch.

Well, I can't disagree there, the UI in D2 is aging and clunky, no doubt about it. This is the exact same thing they tried with Skyrim, only they failed on both accounts (actually made a worse UI and a worse skill system). How about being able to play the game in a simplified mode and a more hardcore mode? Compromise? Maybe it wouldn't work, I honestly don't know. But I don't like this direction the RPG genre is taking at all. No matter how I look at it, I can only see this as Blizzard going for the "broader audience" everyone is aiming for today, not necessarily to improve the game itself.

Edit; seems like people are sort of divided on the subject when viewing the poll, I can understand why. Skyrim also has its huge fans of the new skill and perk system and there those who don't like it at all (in case its unclear, I belong with the latter since it manages to do the exact opposite of what it was supposed to and makes your PC way overpowered).
