Forums - Microsoft Discussion - What are your expectations of Microsoft this E3?

What are Microsoft bringing to E3?

NextBox 720 baby, believe it!!! 23 15.13%

Many new games, 1st and 3rd party exclusives. 29 19.08%

More entertainment and kinect apps. 67 44.08%

Mind rape. 7 4.61%

Yo mama. 26 17.11%

Total:152

I'm actually cautiously optimistic we'll see some new core IP's from them. I'm not jumping on the next Xbox if the core support literally fades beyond the expected sequels to established franchises year after year and Kinect and motion controls in general don't particularly interest me.

Come on MS, hit us with something new and fresh!

Rinse, repeat.

Pretty much this, though that's not a bad thing at all.  Everyone crapped on M$'s E3 press conference last year and wondered what the hell they were doing, but by the end of the year they were #1 in sales in NA by a large margin, so obviously this formula works for them.

And for the last time, there will be no 720/PS4 announcements at this E3!

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I hope they step up their game this time round.

Yay!!!

"Fist Buuump!"

And then some actual interesting things with the Kinect like updates and such. (Better Motion Tracking, bla, bla, bla.)

Last year, it was Gears 3 and a bunch of Kinect games. This year, it'll probably be Halo 4 and a bunch of Kinect games.

I read the first page of posts and of course this has already de-evolved into a simple MS bash fest........

that being said obviously COD BO2 and Halo 4 will be shown as well as a bunch of Xbox Live and Kinect stuff.

But I honestly expect MS to announce at least 2 major exclusives, whether they're 1st party, 3rd party, or next - gen games.

I think they should have a pretty solid E3.

That is what everyone expected this thread to be.

I like how a lot of people try to downplay Halo 4, Forza and Fable. This is like Apple has only new versions of the iPhone, iPad and iPod to show.

Predictions:

  • Resident Evil 6 exclusive stuff
  • Halo 4
  • Forza Horizon
  • Fable Journey
  • Twisted Pixel new game (hope for a retail-release. They deserve it!)
  • Ryse
  • Kinect Joyride Next for XBLA
  • Skype integration
  • New entertainment partners
  • price cut
  • Maybe some new games by one of the newly formed studios

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Alright, I know I'm going to be hated on, but I just don't think they can do much, if anything. E3 this year is essentially guaranteed to Nintendo, they have too much to offer, too many first-party games and too many surprises coming up. If Microsoft tries to offer any more multimedia ideas, then they'll most likely say at the very end: "Oh, but there's a charge fee, $2.99 per use." Or something like that. Microsoft makes some ridiculous charges after all.
But guys, let's be honest the only thing Microsoft can get fans excited about, is Halo 4, they've said there will be no talk of their next console, and maybe they'll stir a few crowds with a Xbox 360 price drop, or Kinect drop, whichever they choose. Who knows though, I could be wrong.

Who?
