Depends on your preferences. I wouldn't want to recommend something you may have zero interest in.

By the way, does this mean we might see "This PS3 game has the best graphics EVER!" threads now?

Rofl.

Just so you know, Ive never said anything I didnt actually believe. Other than my old school hype threads which had way to much enthusiasm back in the day.

To be honest I literally like all genres. As long as its got good production values. Good story. And tight gameplay it will be good. For example FF13's story for me was shocking. So if that helps I dont know. Im already eyeing Heavy Rain. I have Lovefilm to, so I can rent any 2 games at anytime for as long as I want.

Be extremely careful and make sure the sticker hasn't been removed first of all.

OK, because I know you're going to need to play the best, I'm only going to recommend the best, because I don't want any qq'ing later :D

Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Journey, Valkyria Chronicles, (MGS4 only if you can handle the cutscenes and installs, otherwise just get MGS3 and call it a day), Super Stardust HD, Demon's Souls (while the servers are still up!!), GoW 3.

You cannot be disappointed with any of the games in that list. That is an extremely safe, best of list. If you absolutely enjoy all of these, I'll recommend some more daring ones.

Whats Journey like?

Also Ive found MGS4 for 5 GBP. So I think thats pretty awesome.

Around the Network

You may dissapointed in Killzone 2 or 3. I'd say be skeptical about those games. A lot of people dislike the controls.

Just buy PSN+ and you will get more free games than that you could buy on X360 :).

What do you actually get wit PSN+ ? How much is it?

Theres no way I will drop Live Gold Subscription, I have way to much invested in it and they get quite a good few XBLA Exclusives to.

But if PSN+ has any benefits outside of Netflix etc that I already have on XBL, Id definately consider it.

Well I honestly just have it for getting all those free games.  For Europe this month one of the games you get for free is Silent Hill (and 9 PSn games).

I recommend it for people who love PSN games (or XBLA games).

Heaven.

I recommend LittlBigPlanet 2 (the first one isn't necessary), both GOW collections then you must play them all in chronological order up to 3, the Motorstorm games are fun and even though I didn't enjoy Resistance 1 & 2 you should get Resistance 3 as it's surprisingly good (although 2 might have better MP).

Btw £70 for a PS3! That's brilliant! I remember when I first bought my fat 60gb PS3 for £350 4 1/2 years ago, it broke last year and so I had to pay £250 for a new one ;P

I recommend changing the thermal paste in the PS3 before you even start playing it to avoid it overheating and getting the dreaded yellow light of death. The thermal paste burns away over the years and without it the PS3 will overheat badly and that's the main thing that kills the fat 60gb PS3's.

I played a fair bit of 2. I like it. I'm not going in to make comparisons wit 360 or Hao or anything. Thats just stupid. I'll enjoy the games and console as it is.

Its not going to stop me loving me my halo 4 or vice versa stop me trying new games on PS3. If its good I'll soak it up. :)

PS plus is the best paid service on console for free games, you'll get too many games that will make your backlog of games to play confusing so beware, it's a bit how crazy Steam is, but with the free games, or course some of the free games are free because they're crap but most are awesome for example they released the whole ps 1 resident evil and crash series for free once, and recently newer games like shank 2 and trine

God of war collection, Uncharted 2-3, Killzone 2-3. Demons souls, Gran turismo 5, Infamous 1-2, MGS4. (metal gear collection?) ICO collection.

Last of Us and playstation all stars later this year look to be buyers as well.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

Cheers for the heads up. My mate didnt use it an awful lot. He is a Doctor in a hospital so he has very little time to when we grew up together. Hes got to move to Canada to work there as a Specialist, so he has asked me if Id like it for cheap. :)

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!
