???

you mean the original fat Xbox controller?

or maybe you are talking about the Wave Bird?

Not even comparable. None of your examples included any additional buttons, let alone analogue sticks.

you said "a completely redesigned controller"

you did not specifically say  "a controller with added buttons/analog sticks"

so yes, it was comparable

Are you trying to be funny? You knew exactly what I was talking about.

Gaming wise? No. Nintendo was the most original out of the big three by starting the whole motion control trend.

Hardware wise? Yes. That price tag was indeed excessively original.

Gaming wise: Sony had the most original ips this generation

Sales wise, yes.

As for that vido you just provided: If Nintendo was unoriginal to copy that system, then what was Sony who eventually copied Nintendo and made an almost wxact copy without any notable improvements?

oh so you have to make a notable improvement in order to not be called a copy?

so you mean to tell me that the Move is not noticably more accurate than the Wii mote? why would Nintendo build the Wii mote with the Wii Motion plus then?

Wii Motion Plus was released before Move.

i said "build"

it wasn't built in the controller until 2010 from what i remember

but regardless, Move was still noticably more accurate than the Wii Mote

I don't care either way. For me, Smash Bros. isn't really all that fun. I played the Gamecube game for a weekend and the Wii game for a week, maybe. The draw was seeing these big icons fight against each other. This game could play exactly the same but seeing Kratos fight Parappa the Rappa just doesn't have the same feeling as seeing Mario fighting Donkey Kong. These guys just aren't icons.

My only hang-up is that it looks like it borrows too much from Smash Bros. The mechanics just aren't original (from what I've seen). It would be one thing if they did a mascot fighting game with mechanics like Power Stone or Outfoxies. This gameplay is just Smash Bros. with a coat of paint.

so  it would be better if it was more like Power Stone or Outfoxies?

okay so let me get this straight

if Battle Royale was a copy of Power Stone then it WOULDN'T be a copy?

if Battle Royale was a copy of Outfoxies then it WOULDN'T be a copy? <-- Outfoxies and Smash Bros are just alike but whatever..

if Battle Royale was a copy of Smash Bros then IT IS a copy?

lol

No, actually, it's easily the other way round, but I'm sure you knew that's what I meant, so...

But Sony didn't really copy Nintendo, because of the whole level-creation thing. So the levels never had the same spark or magic in them...but there was a lot more.

Depends if you prefer quality or quantity really.

Jay was being Jay.

Also, from what we've seen the game really doesn't seem to be pushing the PS3 that much... I wonder if Sony will beat Nintendo to the punch for a Handheld/Console simultaneous release? PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (That's a mouthful..) for the PSV and PS3... Sony's handheld does need a kick in the pants, and that could be a great title for it.

Remember though? Nintendo said something about 3DS and Wii U working together with their upcoming SSB Game. If Sony does this then they would be copying Nintendo twice over.

if its going to be like ssbb a button basher with hardly any content on it i wont even look at it.

i understand millions like ssbb but i couldnt see the point in it.

if and IF sasbr has a more meaningful combat together with tons and tons of unlockables, possibly minigames using each brand included it may be worth a shot
