I'm buying it day one if I can play as Lionel Messi!
It's a easy day one purchase I'm hoping that there would be a collector edition.

Sony needed to put all (or at least mostly) top tier popular PS characters in the reveal since it was everyone's first impression of the game. Its the major reason some sites like GT were making fun of Sony that they don't have many good or memorable characters to make a game like this. Am i the only one who thought this? Anyways, character choice aside, this game looks fantastic. |
I think they did pretty good with their initial reveal. You definitely don't want to reveal all of the big-named characters right off the bat, since that would make people notice it all now and not later on before its release. If they follow a model of revealing new characters ala Brawl, then they should save the biggest guns for right before the game comes out. Obviously, some characters are a given, so they could reveal those at any time (like Nathan Drake, Cole from Infamous and the like), but they should definitely keep the biggest ones a surprise until the very end.
I don't know if anyone saw, but Sony is having a spring sale on the Euro PSN store (I presume its on the american Version too) and the theme of the sale is PSAS :D
The Sly collection is £10! :D (I bought it :P)
Fat Princess is half price to £5! :D (I bought the supersize version :P)
and God of War is also on sale (I already have these, but I bought the Kratos Sackboy :P)
And the marketing starts!
Right now on UK PSN there is a 'Royale Contender' sale, where you can nab Fat Princess for £4, the Sly Trilogy for £10, Twisted Metal on PS1 for £2.39, and all four remastered Gow games for £30.
