I don't understand you.  You seem very bitter about something whenenver I see you post.  Do you want to talk about it?

you know I got a warning for calling people bitter, but I bet you won't, with the important part being that I really don't care

anyway

you see the same baseless non sense over and over again, after a while it gets a little annoying, when the Vita does eventually picks up it would make not having to put up with such brainless drivel from the typicle almost worth it...almost :/

Yeah, I probably won't.  I wasn't attacking you, though.

Anyway, I hope you're right about the Vita.  I hope Sony realizes that the current ad campaign isn't what the Vita needs and switches it to something a bit more impressive and informative.  I hope they have a huge E3 showing, too.  The Vita is a great piece of hardware.  In that regard, it deserves to be doing better than the 3DS as far as sales.

I'll leave you in peace.

this is what I'm talking about, when they announce all the games that they will, it won't be shit they green lit because the current plan aint working yo, it's going to be games already in production that will finally be ready to be announced because you know...games that come out in the first few years take time, learning new hardware, building tools, refining engines, experimenting with experiences, etc...

but I guess that just doesn't make sense to some :/ who would then resort to this reasoning "Sony's not announcing anything because they have nothing clearly"

which only leads to this

and sure the Vita deserves to sell more than the 3DS but it isn't mainstream so it has no chance, but the point is it doesn't need to, the PS3 was better than the wii in every conceivable way and did the wii selling millions more stop the ps3 from receiving amazing support? ummm no, even the PSP  is STILL getting games well after the the 3DS surge in Japan and being tens of millions of units behind the DS

PlayStation systems (all of them) finding support is never a matter of if but when so thinking the Vita will be any different for me is illogical, Sony has more than earned the right to the benefit of the doubt

and now I go sleep like a baby lol

Vita needs big 3rd party IPs, period. And a pricecut soon.

Too bad they already have their first party IP's on it. (Uncharted.)

what a piss poor job at a even worse joke lol. Rol. did a bad job a training you.

Thanks a lot, MDJ.

mr. pie, you're to much, but i really don't think you should be thanking me. your post are starting to have little meaning. they're starting to come off as random pokes, jabs, and comments that are simply pointless, and not engaging.

plz keep that in mind. then again, maybe i'm still expecting to much from this particular community.

First off, I was being sarcastic. Secondly, I'm not even going to care because of what your avatar says.

There is no explanation why Sony should ditch the Vita.
What is to be done to make it successful:

- more native games obviously
- PS1 support, this is a must!
- integrate the vita as a controller for ps3 games, copy the WiiU concept
- gain indie-developer support through the SDK - hell man, i was looking at the indiegames on steam and would buy some of them for the vita.
- bring a goddamn foot on the japanese market. every week you see several PSP games releasing in the top 10 in japan. why the heck aren't they automatically available on the vita as download, too?
- support the vita with PS+, give me (dynamic) backgrounds, give me one or two minis, just to have more games to play when i just have a few minutes time to play. a handheld needs a reason why pick it with you, when you leave your house. that's what i am missing right now. bring more social network games like a pokemon style game where you can fight against people you meet in the streets...

if they'd reach some of this goals, the vita will be successful.

It's too late in the game for Sony to save this handheld.  If the 3DS doesn't bring it to it's grave the smart-devices (tablets, phones etc) surely will!!! Remember Sony at the moment is fighting for their lives and anything that could hinder their progress should be cut off!!!

Funniest comment in this thread. You almost got me there, unfortunately the extra exclamation marks gave it away.

It won't be funny when the Vita fails to sell past 10 mil lifetime after it's second holiday season!!! C'mon the system has been out for nearly 5 months and still haven't sold 2M units!!!  If that doesn't constitute as a sales failure to Sony, then they have bigger issues than many would have thought of.  They need to dump this now and concentrate on making PS4 as competitve as possible.  Microsoft and Nintendo are gonna bring it next gen and Sony with it's financial problems has to be as healthy as possible.

i came in 2008, to see if i could help change that, but got bannd. came back in 2010, and 2 yr's later, no change. i'd hope the newer user's wouldn't be plagued by business as usual around here, and maybe avoid the useless dredge constantly posted on vgc, but i was wrong, and seemingly hoping for to much.

i tire of this constant drivel, as it gets old.

ok whatever you say. i'll not bother with it ever again. i'll just ignore your post.

I do not think Sony should ditch the Vita until developers and retailers do. Honestly Sony needs to make back its R&D and manufacturing costs. Now if Sony wants to save Vita they just need to bring some exclusives. I would argue GodOfWar:Ascension , Battle Royal should both be Vita exclusive. If not exclusive both games should have a ton of exclusive Vita content. Sony also needs Gran Turismo this winter. Monster Hunter 4 needs to be cancelled for 3DS and Sony receive it and all future handheld Monster Hunter games exclusively. A Sony/Square exclusive Final Fantasy would also be a good idea. An exclusive CoD game for Vita as well as an exclusive GTA and Assassins Creed. Exclusive entries in many of these series would benefit Sony greatly.

Of course a 50$ price cut would be nearly essential as well. If after all those moves the console is still struggling then a new Vita model will be necessary. A Vita phone would be the smart new model. Phone capabilities added to the device. Sony could get deals with phone carriers. People would buy Vita's in a second if they were free with 3 year contract. The new model could help Sony in shifting hardware. In the end the Vita could potentially still sell 24-million or so units if they can maintain the kind of sales they have had thus far. Without the piracy issue they might even be able to sell a good amount of software. Though of course at the moment the current Vita sales are not impressive

The Vita has already some big exclusives like Uncharted but they didn't help at all.

Would be great for Vita, but this will never happen. I think Sony could be glad if Vita gets a MH3-Port.

I really think after E3 everyone will ditch the Vita. If there would be some really big announcements at E3 for Vita we would already know about it, because Sony knows it would help the catastrophic sales to rise.

After the RROD and the YLOD on the console side and the hardware revisions of DS and PSP I would not take the first two years of sale too serious.

If you wait after the first year you will probably get a revised Hardware at a cheaper price and you can also buy the 2-5 worthy games at a budget price.

To be honest, you just lose money for being an early adopter and the Software draught in the first two years will probably cause some frustration. Look at the 3DS and its early pricecut...
