Anyways, that's good, games is one of the areas that actually has a fair chance of keeping them alive going forward. Although there's a few first party studios that should do with a few cuts to lower expenses.

technically, zipper was shut down before the announcement to lay off 5000 job so i guess the means we won't see additional layoffs.

Then why did sony pictures just make a HUGE deal in Europe? :P Looks like they're focusing on that division too... unless that sony division is somehow out of his control?

well they already shut down 2 studios this year so I guess they have already trimmed the fat of the gaming division.

Still have Team Ico with at least 50 employees eating up salaries - and it's not as if they give you a payout with the eventual release like Polyphony Digital does. Shut 'em down I say!

and considering how almost all of their other studios have doubled and trippled in size I'd say the loss evens itself out
