what? those speed runs are insane. how can those games possibly be beaten in such a short time. i woulda figured at least 15 hours for each. that is insane

Individual speed runs are much different to this marathon. Not only because they are much shorter, but also because this is a one shot chance since they are live blogging it. Much more pressure, no breaks, and they can't just re-record it or segment it.
Serious WB: The Twilight Princess is single segment, I.E. done in a single sitting.
And there's an Ocarina of time SS for around 4:50.
If they practiced and used the routes the speedrunners did, and learnt them well (One person per game perhaps), with double the time, they should have no problems.
