You absolutely need Dillon's Rolling Western, it is the killer app of eShop. Pushmo is a close second if you want original content. Their are a few other decent games as well none I would recommend right off the bat though. Virtual Console is full of amazing classics if you don't want something original!

1. Mutant Mudds is a must own if you're a fan of classic 8 bit style platformers. It has really great musc and graphics, and the 3D is really good.

2. Dillon's Rolling Western is a mix between castle defence and adventure type gameplay which makes it a really unique game. It's a large game too, It took me 25 hours to beat and 32 to 100% it. There are 10 huge levels to defend and explore and each one offers new enemies and gimmicks to keep things interesting. No two levels ever feel the same. Great music and the 3D is decent, Graphics are pretty good as well.

3. Mighty Switch Force is a relatively short but sweet 2d platformer. It is a unique puzzle platformer where in each level you need to capture 5 escaped prisoners. The music is incredible, and the graphics/artstyle of the game is awesome.

4. VVVVVVV is another retro styled game that is very easy to play but extremely hard to master. The main gimmick is that your character can flip to either the top or bottom of the screen. The game is very challenging but rewarding, like the other games the graphics and music are good and fit the style of the game perfectly.

I'm an advocate for motion controls, Nintendo, and Kicking freaking Toad to the Moon!

Just buy some classic goodies I say.

VVVVVV was the most surprising download for me.My favourite so far; I was addicted to it and it is easily worth the price.

Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword.

If you like to draw Colors! 3D is said to be very good.

By the way, this game is not in the Database, can someone please add it? =)

Dillon's Rolling Western, as others have said, is quite good and fairly priced. I tried the demo for Mutant Mudds, and that was a great little platformer.

Also, if you're open to some DSiWare, there's a fantastic chess game called Absolute Chess--it's only $2 and the AI is very intelligent.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I bought Dillon's Rolling Western :)

Awesome game so far- only negative is that the controls force me to use the stylus in my right hand xD

Dillon's Rolling Western, which you've already got, is a very good choice!

Stick with it, it gets better with each level, and very, VERY tricky later on...

I'd also suggest Mighty Switch Force! and perhaps some VC games as possibilities. But most of the good stuff has already been mentioned, aside from the Ambassador games.
