Last Saturday I saw The Witcher 2, new, on Game for 20 €. And you can download the enhanced edition for free.

never played the first game, because I heard it wasn´t that good, buggy and too many stupid one liners

they patched it up a lot, they even redid a lot of the translation and reredorded a bunch of dialog at one point. It still runs like shit in Vizima due to the engine not using more than one CPU thread. It is a bit dated and I think the seccond is a better game, but the first is not a bad game. Even if it does drag in spots, and it's not a game you want to be a completionist with. There is still an active modding comunity as well.

Don't buy the game from GOG!

Get the game from anywhere else, you get all that content anyway, and then you can have a free back up copy from GOG as well as your other copy!

while that is true CDProjekt are pretty awsome so you can feel good knowing 100% of the price does directly to the company that made the game if you buy through GOG lol. 

But I would rather just have all my games in Steam rather than have to bother with having lots of seperate programmes

But the GOG copy is DRM free there is no other program...

Also the GOG version is the same price as the Steam version so your original premise of getting the game cheaper by buying it somewhere else goes out the window. 

I am not sure why I would be bothered about Steam DRM. It makes it much easier to manage my PC gaming collection that any other method, and I am not sure what else I am really going to be doing with them. The whole connecting to the internet thing might be a pain, but I have never been effected by it. There is fine DRM and bad DRM, and Steam definitely sits in the first category. When I say other programmes, I just like the tidyness of having steam pinned to my taskbar, rather than 20 games

It might be at the moment, but I am not going to play the game for the next 2-3 months, and some people might want the physical version (I am tempted, but recently have only got them when they have baked in steamworks) and then you get the DRM free version from GOG as well anyway ,for whatever reason you would want it
