MS E3:

from last year

and the year before that

and the year before that

never forget right

As soon as I post something that says 'Sony sucks at E3 and MS does not' feel free to try again. Or even 'MS is better than Sony at E3'. Untill then, don't try so hard to embarress yourself defending a company that does not need defending.

Microsoft has never had technically a better E3 than Sony in terms of games, but Microsofts most impressive E3's which were shockworthy at best is when they take third party exclusive franchises from Sony. Again, that was like four years ago. As you can see when left to their own devices....things get gradually worse. Hopefully 2012 will bring exclusives and some hope of longevity for the 360 into the years before the next console (outside of Kinect)

I thought the Sony and Microsoft conferences were just as good as eachother, and were better than Nintendo's. Actually, I'm not even sure, I don't remember the Nintendo conference.

Microsoft conferences have never been equal to Sony in consistency. Their conferences are heavily third party multiplats with either a staggeringly low amount of exclusives or too many casual games.  Sony makes too many exclusives so they never break their level of expectation. Nintendo needs to balance their games between the titles for people who have grown up with them (25+ years) or the people and the newcomers. When it comes to expecting internal games Microsoft is the one to expect to be the weakest. Microsoft's strongest E3 was in 2008 when they took Tekken and Final Fantasy  exclusivity from Sony.

I'm very interested in multiplatform games though, I like how there were many playable demos shown at E3. Looking back, I did think SONY's conference was better, but it's far from their best. I still remember watching E3 for the first time in 2009, I thought SONY's conference was amazing.

Looking back at the bolded its like you're saying Microsoft doesn't need to make games to make me think the Xbox brand is a winner. I can't ever really pick and choose an amazing Sony conference, they don't really surprise me but at the same time it makes me feel safe with all that they offer. I wish they could surprise me, but meh. The only company to surprise me with first party I never knew was in development was Nintendo I believe. E3 2010 was so nostalgic. Donkey Kong, Kid Icarus and the rest. Me and my friends were like HOLY SHIT MUST GET DS! lol

nintendo has won every e3 for the last 3 years it seems

After seeing Wii and Natal for the first time but got waggle and kinect instead, I have learned to aim low, and keep my standards even lower.
