T_T It's beautiful. I'm still messing around with Source and struggling with Flash so it'll be a while until I try anything as sophisticated as this out, if ever. I wish I could. I have so many ideas but lack the patience and time to make anything out of them.

Yeah I tried flash programming 2 summers back and it took me a good day to get a ball rolling accross a screen in 2D haha! This in comparison is incredible...I wish I had the time to learn programming.

that's why i never understand people saying "graphics doesn't matter". it is just so much better if you play a game, let's say a game like skyrim, with these graphics. you could stand there for half an hour doing nothing else than looking at a wall and a tree^^

It all makes sense now...

I keep telling my self that gameplay and story lines are more important that graphics but if Crysis 3 is made using that I may have to invest in a gaming rig just to enjoy all that. Same I didn't like Crysis 2, only thing putting me off (besides the money). Only thing I can thing of that puts it behind some of the other top engines is that it lacks destructable environments, which is where Frostbite 2 is ahead of it. Still, reckon it will be able to compete with the Unreal Engine family for development licenses as the industry moves into the next generation.

And Casey Hudson, listen up. The very least you after the Mass Effect 3 ending debacle is to make Mass Effect 4 using that engine. Extended Cut is not the least you can do as I already know its not going to fix anything. Throwing faeces at a painting is not an artisic vision, it is crap. So retcon the whole thing and get to work (properly this time).

Reminds me off this cancelled game early in the gen "Redwood Falls", would have looked fantastic on that, unfortunately it was canned for some stupid reason.

Looks good, but it's a shame the vid is so small.

I was quite impressed with the DX11 update on Crysis 2 and I love the effect of tessellation, but I don't think it's been used to its full potential in many games. Certainly look forward to seeing games made using this engine.
