Forums - Sony - So I just ordered Okami...for the PS2 (and now...it is beaten)

One of the best games last generation, and my personal nr 7 of all time. Better then Zelda.
Take your time with this game, this is not one to rush through.

And yes the ps2 version is the one to get

It's worth noting that the Wii version of Okami over-saturates the colour palette and downplays the parchment texture filter, making everything look glossier. While its richer colours look good in their own right, the Wii version reminds me of when George Lucas renovated the Star Wars trilogy, and I prefer the PS2 original's washed out look.

Great purchase. Okami is amazing, make sure you max out the sound when playing it. The Shinshu Field theme is just as epic as Ocarina of Time's Hyrule Field theme. One of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. I wonder if Okamiden can keep up with its predecessor?

I like the game I a lot. just the weird talking is weird lol

Is this really 40 hours minimum? That would be a hurdle to want to play it.

Well hope you enjoy it :). Took me a few hours before I could enjoy it but after that I adored it =p.

I just said it did up there!

I bought this game back in the day for the PS2. Honestly, I think the ONLY reason the game didn't do good was because you were using a dog god rather than a human or humanoid form.

It's a shame Clover shut down, this would do great as an HD remake with move support or WiiU tablet support.
A new game is this style would be even better ofcourse.

Definitely on my to play again list some day, if I happen to find 70 odd hours lying around :/

It IS a great game, love it! Felt it got a bit slow in the middle, but that's just me.

Personally, I'd have gone for the Wii version, as I have both, but different people have different preferences I suppose. Nothing wrong with that.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Great review Soriku. I'll add by saying Okami is the best Zelda clone I've ever played and I found it equally as enjoyable.
