Is it good for PSV or bad for 3DS that PSV is selling relatively better than PSP cf DS in Europe and Americas? And this before PSV gets the desperation price cut that's bound to come soonish. Also oddly / ironically PSV is doing dismally relative to 3DS in Japan where PSP was mostly able to hold on to DS's coat tails. A reversal of fortunes to some extent across all markets.

Or is it just bad all around for dedicated handheld consoles?

Nice Kinect Starwars lift for 360. surprised it didn;t sneak ahead of PS3 this week. Though MoE probably means it's just as likely to be ahead this week as slightly behind.

It's bad for PSV, because Japan sales are what would motivate Japanese companies (i.e. Capcom) to bring the games to PSV that PSV needs. Otherwise they will end up on 3DS regardless of how much business sense it makes.

US game company games are unlikely to ever be momentum-inducing games for it.

can't wait for the 360 shipped 0 unit
if i win someone should give me a game,i want GRFS,thanks

Anything less than 1 million shipped proves the overshipped talk and VGC numbers... more than 1 million will show some VGC mistakes with the numbers.

Hmm, not quite, 1m shipped would be 1.5m on shelves which is a lot for this time of year. Sony are expecting 2m shipped, which puts 700k on shelves for comparison and Nintendo expect 1m which puts 500k on shelvees. So if MS did ship 1m I'd say they're pretty vastly undertracked.

2011: 53.6m shipped / 52.8m sold = 800k on shelves (supply constrained confirmed by MS)
2010: 40.2m shipped / 39.1m sold = 1.1m on shelves
2009: 30.2m shipped / 28.9m sold = 1.3m on shelves
2008: 19.0m shipped / 17.6m sold = 1.4m on shelves
2007: 10.9m shipped / 9.4m sold = 1.5m on shelves

Why did you make me show this every time?

just give me GRFS if it's lower than 1m

too bad haha, btw what do you think?

Nice week overall, excellent numbers for Star Wars Kinect and it gives a very good boost to XB360. Very good Xenoblade, very good PSP SW sales in Japan and WW, with the biggest % WoW boost.
Big adjustments, huge for PS3. Was PSV too adjusted up (relatively) a lot last week?

Nice to see PS3 stay on top even with that massive 360 SW Kinect boost.
TBH I thought this was the week 360 would finally outsell the PS3. I guess the bad reviews really put off a lot of people.

I don't blame Kinect nor MS for this, but just Lucas, it saddens me a lot seeing how Star Wars has fallen down in the last years, since the foggin' trilogy of prequels.

Well Kinect Star Wars sold very well as expectet. But will it have good legs. I doubt it because Kinect and all the Kinect Games only sell very well on christmas time. But still a great success and it boostet the X Box 360 more than i had expectet.

Nice PS3 and PSV adjustments as well.

And Uncharted 3 and Gran Turismo doing great as well.

Well i predict xbox and ps3 will get a pricecut this year, microsoft doesn't want to end up last again, and they will try everything to combat this.

Dont think they ever have finished last, also i think at this point they could care less, even if they do it will be by a margin that will make no differnce to what theyve acheived.

They have been talking about this in every PR. Why did they stop caring?

Last in '09 and last in '10.*

*Excluding handhelds of course, i.e. PSP. Including handhelds, 360 has never finished last, but only thanks to the fading (outside of Japan) PSP.

I just wonder where the adjustments are coming from. End of 2011 shipment/ VGC sold gaps were pretty reasonable, esp that 360 shipments were rather high cf sold figure. And surely we haven't had enough sales in 2012 to warrant adjustments in the amounts seen here. Will be interesting to see how the March Q shipment figures gel with these adjustments. Seems odd to be making adjustments so close to the quarterly reports.

I wonder if all the R2D2 360's have sold out or if there are still more available to keep 360 sales afloat another week.
