FPSes are always popular, but I don't think they've quite cracked how to do it on mobile devices yet. They're playable, but not really enjoyable (many people seem to disagree with me). Morningstar claims to have figured it out. We'll see.
Racing, arcade, strategy, RPG, even third person action games and 2D platformers play much better. I'd think twice before playing a pinball, shmup, or flight sim on any other platform. Not sure if any of those games are as "real" as shooting aliens with a first-person camera, though.
