I'm thinking 870k, worldwide.
Food for thought: Shove an apple in your brain
I'm guessing 500,000 in Japan, 100,000 in Europe and 300,000 in Americas. Overall, just shy of a million.
Oh, and the soundtrack to this game is beautiful. After listening to a few songs on youtube, I'd say it looks like the score may be even better than Radiant Dawn's.
Songs like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfvY1S-j67k&feature=BFa&list=PLBA5BF8A789601EE1
Day 1 purchase baby!
Hoping for a fall release.

Definitely shows how they're really trying to spike the game's Japanese appeal. She's so moe!
Does Awakening have the basic improvements that Fire Emblem 9 & 10 added, namely that mounted units can move in their turn after combat (that aggravated the hell out of me in Fire Emblem 8. Also automatic class promotion at level 21. Having to manage items for every fricking unit is very annoying.
Good sales should be encouraging to NoA, at least.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Yes, it's definitely a picture that appeals to the Japanese crowd, that's for sure!
As for the improvements, I'm unsure if all of them are added, especially the automatic promotion. I know that so mounted units gain Canto at a set level, but I don't know if it applies to ALL units...
We can't really know for sure about promotions. In the Japanese version of Radiant Dawn, to go from Tier 2 to Tier 3, you needed to use a Master Crown. You couldn't just level to 21. In other words, the reason there were no promotion items in the English games was that NoE/NoA felt they were unecessary and removed them.
Similar to Radiant Dawn, Awakening has Master Seals as promotion items this time around, and you have to use them to level up. This might be removed in the English version, so we can't know. I find that relatively unlikely, though, as there's also a second class-change item that lets to reclass your character, and having that and no Master Seal might end up being odd. So, overall, so far, it's unlikely there will be a "promote instantly at level 21".
And as far as I know, there's no canto (remove after attack as a mount) at all. That isn't a system implemented for the first time in Path of Radiance anyway, but one from Fire Emblem 4 originally. They've gone with the route of there being canto in the console versions, and there not being any in the handheld versions. In this game, canto would be a bit odd due to the dual-attack mechanics, as well.
New DLC for this week is Elincia.
Are they already out of main characters? What's wrong with Eliwood? Ike? Sanaki? Sothe even??

You see, THIS is more what the Art should be like. Not that Miciaiah rubbish...
