Is there any real reason to make Morgan NOT a Grandmaster? She's so much better than MU, and Rainbow Rally is amazing!

I really only have 1 Morgan (third file)....

Strategist->Mage/Sage->Swordmaster->Grandmaster
Lifetaker/Ignis/Aggressor/Swordfaire/Tombfaire

Your Morgan is what my MU is.  This is what I do.

MU - Dread Fighter = Limit Break/Agressor/Ignis/Swordfaire/Tombfaire

Morgan - Grandmaster = Rally Spectrum/Rally Heart/Aegis/Pavis/Limit Break

I kind of make one an offensive powerhouse, while the other a tank that can be thrown wherever I want and BOOST others without worry of being killed.

I can agree with Pair-Up going bye bye.  It was fun while it lasted but I can't see it being fun in another game.

I'm still on my first playthrough and imo the pair system works great. The main reason why is so great is because by doing that you can marry people and unlock conversions and all that jazz, in a different setting the pair mechanic might not have work like it did in the game.

I used it a lot just to make sure one character married someone I wanted, or to see a funny dialog. If that wasn't the case I might have not used it like I did.

No self healing?  Could replace Resistance +10 with Lifetaker.

Lethality could be replaced for Armsthrift so you could use those weapons forever.

Tho if your not planning to do the final DLC, than what you have is fine.

With Limit breaker, sol is the better choice.  having a 50% chance of healing on EVERY fight offensive and defensive versus only recieving healing on attack.

Though of course we don't know who the father is, so can't tell if he cna even get sol or lifetaker

He has Ignis, kinda obvious who daddy is....

Sol/Aether is better in healing but seeing as how he chose Ignis, he would probably want to keep that.  With Lifetaker, he can keep Ignis and still have some self healing.

I feel that Morgan could be my "cheapest" character:

Rightful King, Aegis, Lethality, Lifetaker, and Limit Breaker.

Rightful King really enhances the Aegis (now 66% activation) and Lethality (24% activation) skills. And of course Lifetaker is there as my self healing skill (Sol would cause too much overlap).

While Morgan is focused on Offense, Lucina is more Defense oriented:

Pavise, Aegis, Aether, Rightful King, and Limit Breaker

Pavise and Aegis (68% activation) will keep her protected for the most part while Aether (39% activation) will both hurt the foe and regain the lost HP.

I used it a lot just to make sure one character married someone I wanted, or to see a funny dialog. If that wasn't the case I might have not used it like I did.

Support between people also raises if they fight adjacent to each other, that's how it worked in previous games. Marriages and children are features that already existed in Fire Emblem 4. The pair up mechanic isn't necessary and it has quite a few game-breaking implications.

On a related note, characters helping out adjacent units is another mechanic that shouldn't be used again. You can't plan reliable blocks anymore, because it might just so happen that that partner kills off an enemy that you want to stay alive to block another enemy from attacking. The result is death by random chance.

Oh I was confused with pair-up being characters adjacent to each other, not the actual Pair-up option in the game. In that case then yeah I only used it like once, haven't found an scenario where I really needed it.

I do agree that adjacent allies shouldn't attack enemies, sometimes you want them to attack and sometimes you don't, not really consistent. All the bonuses are fine imo.

Haven't played Fire Emblem 4 yet, there's probably an English rom out there so I might as well give it a try.

The same could be said with crits.  Nothing sucks more than planning out:

Ok three enemies in front of me.

Only my tank can take more than one hit.

But if he takes 3 hits he is dead.

Tho I can't kill them during enemies turn cause his focus on Def rather than attack.

*Positions self so that 2 enemies will attack, third will be blocked by his own army*

*Lands a crit on second enemy, third enemy is now free to kill me*

RRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEE
