Forums - Nintendo - Official Fire Emblem: Awakening thread- European DLC 16/5 out now!

Unless you get crit/Counter/Lethality you can solo the entire game with that set up.

Lifetaker is if you KILL the target (only on your turn as well), Sol/Aether are proc based, Renewal/Bonds is at the end of the turn.

Nos/Aversa is every time you attack. You are pretty much guaranteed healing all the time.

Slap a Iote's Shield to solve half the problem.

Invest in self healing skills to solve the other half.

And I'm not down with Sorceror's with Nos/Aversa, it just breaks the game.

Isn't Iote's Shiled a paid DLC item? Plus, that's an extra skill slot that you have to use that could be filled with something more useful.

How about an Aversa's Night that's almost impossible to break at 49 luck? . Also, I don't see how it breaks the game, at least not more than slapping Lifetaker or any other self healing skill.

It is, and what 5 skills are more useful than removing a unit's only real weakness? O_o

Also, I'll never understand why it matters whether or not something breaks the game in a non multiplayer one, but ahwells. Just another one of those unsolvable mysteries. :L

Disregard above strategy
Use above strategy

Make up your mind!

Oh and I prefer going Dark Flier when wanting to use magics. :P

Rofl, should have said "disregard above strategy for FeMU" XD.

Dark Fliers have a compound weakness with their Flier class plus low defence. My Warrior Donnel and Bow Knight Inigo, both equipped with Parthias or forged Brave Bows eat Dark Fliers for breakfast .

I prefer a somewhat sturdy, 0-weakness, magic class. With 50 Mag, my FeMU can Staff support anywhere on the map with Catharsis, Rescue, Fortify and Ward so she doesn't have to move at all and if an enemy does manage to break through, she can get an odd kill here and there with forged Thoron.

On the other hand, with 42 def and 46 res, my Sorc Morgan can tank some hits and get free health buffs with forged Aversa's Night.

Iote's Shield/playing smartly make up for them weaknesses, and I believe Warrior's n Bow Knights aren't much for def/res either Mr. double standard. :P  Besides, their def is high enough to where they can't get one rounded by  an equally strong opponent, and Magic seems to be more OP than weapons so if I had to choose one I'd take the higher res. Plus you could also have her equipped with Sol, Renewal, n Pavise, for massive tanking ability. Yeah I'm clearly biased here but still!

It's true, they aren't, that's why my mages carry forged Rexcaliburs just in case

The same skill combo can be applied to Sorcs through inheritance, with the added bonus of higher Def and Res for boosted effect (though that would be overkill, especially Renewal and Sol).

I dunnu, I might be also biased against Flying/Beast units because of their inate weakness. Probably it gets better with those DLC items, but in an un-DLC fight, I just don't see their advantages over my current field.

If only the game had head to head multiplayer then I could show ya how awesomazing they are, though in a non DLC battle, my entire team probably won't consist of nothing but Falcon Knights n Dark Fliers hehe. Btw, Celicia's Gale > Rexcalibur along with most non-dark magics really. Always double attacking at the least and getting quadruple hits in if your speed is high enough is too good!

The only problem with Celica's Gate is that it has low mt, even when forged, and since Sorcs aren't the speediest of units, quadruple hits are rare with even powered units. Though, I can see it working with increased Crit chance skills and so on, since it grants 2 attacks, minimum. Gotta see if I can adapt it into my team.

I'll probably adapt my team once I start hitting the paid DLC and see how those skills could improve my team, but so far, i'm good with it. It's got good coverage against all type of units and if I face a heavy-magic duty team, I can improve my lower-res units rather easily and fast (Ward and Rally Resistance/Spectrum stack).

I'm pretty sure it still does the same or more damage even with just 2 hits, and like you said it increases the chances of criticals, but also attack skills, and dual strikes since your attacking multiple times. But yeah I'm sure you're fine as you are. ;)

I just checked and yes Celicia's Gale does do more damage. Against a Mercenary, my Avatar could deal 55x2 dmg with Thoron. and 45x4 dmg with Celicia's Gale. Even if you cut the number of attacks in half in the event of my Avatar not having +5 speed on the opponent, Gale still does much more damage (55 v.s. 90).

Yeah, been experimenting with it myself. At base attack number (x1 for forged Rexcalibur and x2 for forged Celica's Gate), the latter always does 85% damage of the former, per hit, for a total of 170% damage vs 100% damage

If double attack applies, that soars to 340% damage vs 200% damage. Guess my Morgan just upgraded his arsenal, forged Celica's Gate and forged Aversa's Night. Now, if only I could find a Waste dark magic tome, I'd be set XD.

What's the song of the overworld missions? the ones where you fight the Risen. It has a small part where is a remix of the FF theme song, it's beautiful.

Anyway, I'm currently on Chapter 14 and I'm recruiting the sons of the characters I make them married. Really love that mechanic it opens so many possibilities.

Nintendo and PC gamer

The A support conversation between Noire and Laurent made me laugh out loud.

"If you want me to eat, I shall feast upon your soul!"

Also, 32 of my units are maxed out (that includes limit break!)
