I see the Vita settling in to about a 150k/month or less average now that its launch honeymoon is over. That's pretty mediocre. Those 3DS sales post-Christmas are not great either.

I think people are kidding themselves if they're still pushing that iPad/iPhone/Android have no impact on handheld sales. At least in the US, I'd say the impact is starting to look very pronounced.

Averaged 42 - 45k a week this month, a drop to 35 - 38k next month = 140 - 152k. Seems likely, wasn't 3DS sub 100k one month?

NPD May 97k
NPD June 143k (price cute happened here I guess)

For some reason Nintendo not give number in NPD July but after in NPD August it sold 235k.

I disagree with all the talk of MS needing a price cut this year...

I really don't see the point of MS cutting the price just yet. The console is still selling really well. And the bundles MS are offering are amazing! In my opinion great bundles will sell more systems than a price cut. Ultimately games sells systems. MS unlike sony know this and take full advantage of it.

So in short, MS does not need to cut the price of the 360, especially not at E3. The increase in sales will be minimal, and the hit on profit could be quite big. Doesn't make much business sense to me at this point.

Perhaps next year when they start focusing on the 720 then they can start positioning 360 as a real budget console.

Maybe because of shame... nah joking. Weird but i doubt they mixed both months, i think it would have been higher the august given that case.

In general the handheld market for dedicated portable consoles in the US does not seem good.

The 3DS has quite a awesome library already with many system sellers. Yet it's still selling pretty badly.

The VITA has done surprisingly well this month!

But put into perspective, its a console in really bad shape

RE Revelations have sold 122k

BUT

it seems joystiq effed up the wording there..the 122k is for LTD for the game..so around 30k in march?

also binary domain has done 20k

what do you guys think about these numbers? For a RE game those numbers sound horrible imo...Binary BomBain is in the same boat...i mean 20k? ffs. Did anyone here play it to know if its a good game or not? Badgenome played it i think

Not too good for Revelations but atleast it was undertracked.

the first RE on handheld, so i didnt expect to hit a million, specially on the  west. Also capcom didnt really advertise it and i dont think it cost them alot. Ffr its first attempt on a handelh i would say decent, not great tough. Will be hard tomove their alredy stablished fanbase on homeconsoles to a portable. Possible? yes, but will need long time work, like with the MH franchise.

small problem. This is not the first portable RE game. Heck it's not the first even on the 3ds

RE franchise is huge. Sales for that horrible (user feedback I read) shows that. These are horrible sales.
