10b? Where did you get that number? I assume you are talking about Playstation and now Sony as a whole... |
Obviously talking about Sony, PS3 hasn't lost quite that much, I'd say around half of 10b

But why Sony though? Seems strange when we're talking about video game systems here |
Did you even read what he said? 'Vita will be fine don't you worry kid, I'm sure Sony knows more about what they're doing than an armchair analyst.'
That was what I was replying too.
February 2012:
360: 42%
PS3: 36%
WII: 22%
March 2012:
360: 42%
PS3: 38%
WII: 20%
It looks like PS3 is eating Wii's crowd. I think Sony may very well have sold 600k systems in march with PSP and PS2.
Congrats on dominating again. Some people start to talk about Sonys losses rather commenting on sales, it makes them look like they begrudge Sony's success.

What did Vita do? PS2 does barely 10k a month now, PSP is pretty low as well.
Just because they sold the most across the board does not mean they're 'dominating' christ your posts can be laughable sometimes, I wonder if you know how ridiculous you sound.

Chill out bro :) I took 212k for Vita since its in the middle between 200 and 225, it can be higher or lower. Add PS3 numbers and you get 550k, if PS2 did 10k and PSP atleast 40k it makes it 600k, or did I calculate something wrong?

I see the Vita settling in to about a 150k/month or less average now that its launch honeymoon is over. That's pretty mediocre. Those 3DS sales post-Christmas are not great either.
I think people are kidding themselves if they're still pushing that iPad/iPhone/Android have no impact on handheld sales. At least in the US, I'd say the impact is starting to look very pronounced.
Sony is going to be forced to slash the Vita price and Nintendo is going to have to release a 3DS revision soon IMO.

Averaged 42 - 45k a week this month, a drop to 35 - 38k next month = 140 - 152k. Seems likely, wasn't 3DS sub 100k one month?
VEry pleased with PS3 sales indeed.
It and Xbox 360 have truly proven if you deserve success you shall get it in the end.
Vita sales are better than expected too, it's not looking like a complete disaster anymore. There is room for improvement & the word of mouth on the device itself is very good.
I agree with Cone on the games lineup though, it's not a system selling one but it should get fans of the niche franchises on board. The mainstream success can happen later, as PS3 has proven. (Although 3DS will be getting better support than Wii ever got...so it could be harder)
Wii sales aren't good, but that was a long time coming.
No-one is talking about 3DS sales...what is the consensus? They don't seem that great.

I think the handheld market in North America is headed for big trouble. I remember it was only 2-3 years ago the DS could pull 550k+ in a month like March.

I would say meh. I dont think they will go up or down from the 230k mark, it looks to be around that point until june, its main franchises will keep it afloat for a month at least. In my opinon the Vita is a little more "meh",not by much tough, more than expected but still going down, the problem here is that they will probably keep falling down without any real killer app to sustain itself until june also. This is a fight of who will do less bad. Both are underperforming in the west in my opinion.
