Console manufacturer would be Sony.

I love sound and only Sony's console delivers the best there is this gen. The ps2 already had excellent sound and they really stepped it up again this gen with support for up to 192khz 24bit 7.1 uncompressed sound. So far only the Akira blu-ray edition uses the maximum capabilities but next to blu-ray loss less surround sound pretty much all Sony exclusives sound phenomenal.

And it all works flawlessly. For example I have an older amp in the living room that doesn't support hdmi but does support DTS via optical. So when I watch a Dolby True HD blu-ray it converts it neatly to the 1536kbps DTS 5.1 format instead of just sending the lower bit rate Dolby Digital 5.1 base track over.

Sony, as I guess its just because they have been the main console around since I really got into gaming.

Sony, I grew up with PS1 and PS2, and I guess now I'm growing up with PS3 (and vita). I love the community, I love the controller, I love all the extra media functionalities that come with Playstations, I love many things about playstation, but most of all it's the first party studios and games, they are are what really separate PS from the competition for me.

After that, it's either Microsofts consoles, specifically 360 for Gears, Multiplayer UI and XBLA or PC gaming for better looking games, by far the best store (steam), the fuckton of indie games and the modding community.

Sorry Nintendo, I used to love you, especially your handhelds, but I've fallen out of love. None of Nintendos IPs seem to interest me anymore aside from Pokemon, an I feel like even that will be dead to me soon.

One of my friends had the dreamcast when I was like 9 and I'd go over and play it every now and then, but we'd quickly get bored and go play outside or go to mine for the psone. So no fond memories of sega.

I'm too young for the rest.

Nintendo, by far.

Started gaming with the NES and then proceeded to N64 and later Gamecube. All epic systems that shaped large portions of my childhood. Plus, all handhelds I have had has been awesome as well and made by Nintendo only.

This generation I choose Microsoft though, but I expect the crown to go back to Nintendo the next generation.

Nintendo. No other is even really a blip on my radar, except if Sega came back

I started with Nintendo and I will end with Nintendo. The only non Nintendo console I've ever owned is a 360. NES, N64, GC, Wii, GBA, and DS I know what I'm getting when purchasing a Nintendo product. High quality from a company devoted to making games and putting game play/user experience first.

I can't imagine considering anyone else.

Nintendo and Sony are tied for me. Nintendo so many good memories, but Sony has been my console or choice for the last couple gens.

Sony: Hardware Quality, future proof technology (bluray), exclusives AAA games (which are not always Shooters)

SONY for me.

I like old school Nintendo. I haven't like a Nintendo console since the SNES. N64 was weird, but I bought it. It was all downhill from there.

Sega always seemed to be an also ran.

Microsoft just can't get good hardware the first time around. XBOX was just horrid and it wasn't until at least the second half of X360s life that the hardware was any good. The kinnect is atm a POS that won't come into fruition until next gen.

as a ninty fan, i must say i'm still stuck in the 5th gen. with the N64. while i still call PC my home, it hasn't been my focus these past 2 gen's.

Xbox is the only box when it come to MS, but Sony wins hands down these past to gen's by spoiling (dowloadable games don't count/are not my focus)rotten, and all i can say is "give me more sony" !!!!!!
