I'm just glad it's still coming! I was a bit afraid the Japanese sales would have killed the localization.

At one time I thought it was coming out before Kingdoms of Amalur.
Hmm what RPG should I play now next Christmas.
son of a BITCH!!!!!
..well atleast we got Graces F this year
so i guess 2013 is another JRPG year to look forward to with Ni No Kuni and Tales Of Xillia

Gives me time to wait for games to hit bargain bin prices. Took 6 months but Disgaea 4 finally dropped into the 20s price range. Next on the list are Totori and Graces F. Totori is being rather persistent.
One of the great mysteries of gaming this gen is how this game bombed in Japan.
First - It's the graphics king this gen
Second - It's a big budget traditional RPG
Third - It's made by a very respected team, and backed up by one of the world's most respected animation studios
Fourth - It's the "sequel" to the DS game, that while did not put the charts on fire, sold reasonably well
There has to be a problem with this game. It looks fantastic, but there has to be a problem! :S

The difference here is the game already released last year in Japan
They just take their time with the translation or something else probably - Versus13 on the other side didn't have a release anywhere on the planet for now.
News is great - More time for me to forget the Japanese Version. Its still to fresh...Amazin game but i really want to forget most of it so i can enjoy a western release.

I would say the Fourth is the problem. Same situation as Valkyria Chronicles 2 selling a lot less in the west.
Hopefully it will get strong sales over here so this cooperation won't be a one time event.

original thread post before the update

As I so accurately predicted a few months ago, Ni No Kuni will be coming early next year.
Namco Bandai confirmed the game will ship in both North America and Europe simultaneously in Q1 2013.
The game will have language support for each territory.
