I love Dark Souls for the unique level design instead of the modular repetitive dungeon design of competitors. The difficulty plays an important part in that, having to learn the level layout to survive in the world is what makes this game so memorable.
I played Skyrim and Dark souls both over a 100 hours. While I can still traverse mentally through all of Dark Souls' world, I can hardly remember any of the dungeons or opponents in Skyrim.
So hopefully they mean to bring it to as many formats as possible instead of making it more hack'n'slash.

That doesn't mean there can't be improvements. They can also make it more accessible by adding some more in game information so you don't have to resort to the internet to figure half the stuff out. I didn't even know you could jump for the first 20 hours of the game.

I hope this doesn't mean it will be "easier".

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

If they make another game like Dark Souls I will buy it day one. I loved Dark Souls more than other game this generation. I think I will buy Demon Souls eventually just because I loved Dark Souls so much.

But if they make the game easier than I will forever lose my love for From Software.

I don't know why people tell me to get a life. I'm a gamer, I have lots of lives!

can't wait

What's the bottemless box glitch?

I agree with the pvp though, especially with lag. We're circling and facing each other the whole time and suddenly I've been backstabbed, frustrating. The whole forced pvp needs to be configurable imo. I almost gave up on the game at Laural and Hardy. It took over 20 tries to get to the boss without getting killed by invading players, simply annoying. When playing alone I log out of psn to get rid of them but that doesn't work in co-op obviously. The game is hard enough, no need for grief players to invade in fully prepared pvp gear while you are busy clearing a path to the boss.

Developer From Software has assured fans that there will be a follow up to cult hit Dark Souls.

The 2011 game was itself a spiritual successor - rather than a direct sequel - to the popular Demon's Souls. Both games have gathered a strong following thanks to its notoriously challenging gameplay.

"Of course, it's not over yet," From Software's R&D head Masanori Takeuchi told GameTrailers.

"We've always been enamoured by dark fantasy action RPGs. That's just been our core DNA and I think we'll continue to utilise that."

And the studio's executive producer Eiichi Nakajima adds that the team will be aiming for a much wider audience next time around.

"We've always been about making games for the core gamer, and they weren't necessarily games that did well financially, which is too bad," he said.

"The success of both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, which have each sold over a million [units] per title worldwide, has made us shift our thinking internally to not just core gamers, but to globalise our products, that they can be successful on a worldwide scale.

"That's now one of the key pillars we consider when we develop games in the future."

Do not like the sound of that...

Bottomlex box glitch allowed players to transfer items from their high level character (80, 90, 100. etc etc) and use them on their low level characters regardless of thier stats. That means, someone can use Gravelord Sword 5+ while being lvl 8 and invade other players with similar levels. Of course, no one with that low level can survive against that sword

are we sure this is a glitch?  i'm playing a level 10 pyromancer that is one almost done with the game and i have fully upgraded basically everything.

OT - if they nerf this game (and i kind of think they already nerfed dark souls with the latest patch) i'm definently boycotting it.

I guess they are going for a Cooking Mama / Dark Souls crossover game called Demon's Sauce.
