All the ratings we give to games should be put in our profile, we should also be able to reset our scores. I think that will slow down all the fanboy votes.

Yeah its like going to Gamespot and looking at the ratings but the other way around. Or Game Informer . LOL

If we're talking about user ratings on this site I wouldn't touch them with a barge poll. This is nothing against IOI, etc. But I get the feeling the 360 fans deliberately give PS3 games low scores and vice versa (not sure what the Wii fans get up to) so I see the scores as very unreliable.

This goes for any similar site. People (well an idiotic minority hopefully) put in bias votes which renders the entire score unstable.

As an exmple I was looking at Oblivion for PS3 and one score was 1 out of 10 (apparently because the game had already been out for 360 and PC and PS3 didn't have any exlcusives worry buying)... now that's a representative score, right?

Besides, not to be arrogant, but given a lot of supposedly professional reviewers struggle with game review consistency the last thing I'm going to trust is fanboys (and girls).

I say that last based on years of reading book, theatre and film reviews and seeing the different standards that can exist.

Eh, after playing both, I had more fun with RR2 than Uncharted. Granted Uncharted is a feast for the eyes and the voice acting is top notch, I just didn't like how it played. It failed to 'hook' me. Of course I felt that Ratchet & Clank Future was more fun than Uncharted as well(which is why I currently own R&C and not Uncharted)

1. Twesterm also believes that Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix is a better game than Call of Duty 2.

2. The ratings can be very easily abused. Just take a look at the rankings right now. Zelda sweep, Ratchet & Clank 2, some other random games, etc. Besides, Goldeneye used to be one of the top ranking games, and now it's nowhere near the top.

3. I stopped caring after a while.

If it's on Nintendo it gets a 10 from me.

If it's on 360 or PS3 it gets a 1, even if I love the game.

 CoD2 is poo! (actually never played it so no real opinions about it)
