I don't know why I'm replying as it seems you're trying to just be nitpicky. However, my post and anything I've ever said simply state they will reveal it in some fashion from simple videos all the way up to playable games. Nintendo and Sony did simple reveals with really nothing much to show in 2005 and personally that is what I expect from Sony this year, but MS could very well do a bit more as I think they are far further on in development.

@bolded: No, Nintendo did a simple reveal. Sony, on the other hand, did quite the opposite. They made the PS3 their entire conference (save for a few minutes on PS2 and FF12) and spoke about it in great detail for about 2 hours. They detailed the Cell, several minutes of specs, and showed many target videos including the Unreal 3 video, Doc Oc, the Rubber Ducks, the exploding building, the leaf vortex, the London street, the Fight Night demo, the Killzone 2 video, the Motorstorm video, Heavenly Sword, Resistance and several more. So, BIG difference there between what each company revealed.
I got your point: That a reveal as simple as Nintendo's that year would still fit the criteria for what you've said. But the point I'm making is that I don't believe that even that much of a reveal is a guarantee like you do. The reason being that while the intention would be to draw away from WiiU, it could also potentially draw away from spotlighting the PS360 games for this year. Sure, many consumers will still buy the current systems this holiday as you said earlier, but would it really be worth it to do such a limited reveal when first, we already know successors are coming eventually, and second, it wouldn't stop WiiU from owning the show anyway. Remember that Microsoft said nothing about the 360 at E3 '04, which was also a year before the console was to be released, instead giving Halo 2 the spotlight for the rest of the year. So unless Microsoft or Sony do what Sony did at E3 '05 (which was effective but certainly isn't happening), is there really a point?
So while it's certainly possible that we may have a Nintendo '05 sized reveal, it's in no way a guarantee, particularly from Sony, who also has the Vita to cover.
