I sure hope it's 6. Actually, what's left tough? Haven't they ported just about all of themup to 6?

 V wasn't nearly as loved as VI, in fact, I barely know anyone that has played V (which sadly might be a reason to remake it ;_;).

Man, I'd love a remake of VI... But not on the DS. It just can't do the game justice. I mean, VI pushed the envelope on SNES, and they'd just chibify it on DS... I'd still buy the game, of course, but a console (Wii) game... Oh yeah, that's where it's at.

They've clearly been going in order since the Wonderswan updates of I and II.

Of course they go out in left field and remake Mystic Quest...

I don't think that's a valid thing, since the game was not released here until about 5 years after FFVI was.

In Japan, the situation is likely different, and the sales of S-E games are still high enough there for that region to matter to S-E.

As for me, I still think S-E will remake V and VI, and then port VII, VIII, and IX.  

As was stated, FFV wasn't released in the U.S. until the PS1 port included with FFA came out. It really wasn't given the chance to become as popular as the other two SNES FF games. A full remake a-la 3 and 4 is pretty well justified, and it wouldn't make sense to skip around in numbers unless they were going to back-track and have 1 and 2 remade to the standards of 3 and 4 on the DS.

Barring a FFVDS, I'd want to see FF7 remade. Of course I actually wanna see that more, but it's bound to be a much bigger project and would be heading to console instead of DS.
