^ Smeags post is proof that Nintendo doesnt need to worry about sales domination.

Sony just needs to focus on releasing titles and pushing third party developers to develop for the Vita, they dont necessarily have to be million sellers to make the vita a success.

More games = More Variety = More attention caught by several people = More Hardware sales

Yeah, 3DS will be fine in Japan. Little doubt of that. ^_^

As for your second part, I agree. Honestly, I'd totally buy a Vita if Koji Igarashi released his next Iga-vania on it. It's been four years and I'm still waiting. >_<

There's also Dragon's Crown, which looks totally awesome... but there's been rumors that it's been cancelled.

Relax, I've saw in Neogaf that a dev from DC said those rumors are bogus, and the game developing is just fine.

I don't know the link anynore, so you'll have to trust me! Don't worry, you can trust a fellow Castlevania fan :)

Wow, this thread jumped! Looking at the poll, most people think Monster Hunter Portable 3rd is getting another release on Vita. But, how is this going to help Japan? The game released on the PSP, and then released as an HD port on the PS3. Plus, you can buy the PSP game off of the PS Store on the Vita itself. So... the reason for a rerelease is very questionable.

Their better off making Monster Hunter 4 a multiplatform release, but Capcom has never done this before and the only way (or reason) they'll do this is if Sony begs(or kindly ask and secrectly hand over a couple bucks... just kidding) for them to do so.

Some 3DS owners make me sick. You are already the second one within a week to talk about Castleroid on the Vita.

Gotta get my fix man... I mean, we were spoiled at 3 Iga-vanias a generation (Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, Aria of Sorrow for the GBA & Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia for the DS), so I'm kinda having a withdrawl right now.

You're right if you think me a desperate man. *insane laughter*

That is wishful thinking on Nintendo fans' parts; They want vita to get 3rd and not MH4.

Capcom already said in a statement that they are going multiplat with the series. I can't find the link, but they did.

It would be extremely odd for this to mean, "3ds is getting the games way before vita"

My real dream is for a new Metroidvania Metroid. But I'm still starving for a new Castlevania too!

Actually I lie, my real dream is for a Megaman Metroidvania... a Megatoidvania if you will.

And I thought I was mad!

I've always preferred the supernatural gothic atmosphere of Castlevania to the Sci-Fi atmosphere of Metroid. In fact (blasphemy alert), I prefer the majority of Iga-vania's to Samus' greatest 2D exploit: Super Metroid. *more insane laughter*

With most big developers having their own cross-platform middleware, it becomes not whether a company can port, but all about the moneyhatting. The monster hunter and resident evil games for the 3DS were made with the same mobile architect that umvc3 used for the vita, so it can be done.

Nintendo has a history of money hatting monster hunter to get its new hardware off the ground at Sony's expense, but Sony ended up getting its monster hunter anyway, this time around will be no different.

The mainline Monster hunter games has an almost zero chance appearing on the vita right now. Capcom can't just go on usual multiplatform route because of the nature of the portable franchise. If the audience splits into 2, then it will be twice as difficult to find members to hunt with. That will seriously damage the main appeal of the game and can even be fatal in the long term.

Now why would they do that? We all know the franchise is so powerful that the audience will fully migrate to whatever platform the main portable series is currently on. It makes absolutely no sense what so ever.

Capcom had to choose one platform for the future of the handheld series . They chose 3ds.

You could be wishing for a new 3DS Castlevania instead, because, you know, that would be the logical thing to do.

Well of course. 3DS is definitely the logical home of Koji Igarashi's next Castlevania title, and I'm hoping it'll pop up there (Come on E3!). It's just... been so long Rol... and lonliness does strange things to the mind.

Also, I'll finally be booting up my Wii to play Super Caslevania IV next week. I'm pretty excited. It'll be my first foray into a 2D 'vania not directed by Igarashi.
