Who builds your GPU's, processors, manufacture the disks your OS' are distributed on, builds the tech that allows servers to host digital copies of other gaming products, started the whole console craze and makes the whole industry possible again? I could have sworn that this was the Asian continent, which Japan is a part of. Most western developers make shitty action games and are way too busy destroying RPG's and strategy as genres to produce much worthwhile.

PS: I'm also guessing that the amazing western efforts are the reason why Sony have trumphed everyone and sold the most consoles and software this gen and have retained all the massive 3rd party support from the 6th gen and not fallen heavily from grace?

Yeah, japanese gaming is irrelevant, almost all genres of gaming are dominated by the Japanese: action, adventure, racing, fighting games.

I'm interested in ME because of the story... Game play wise I don't expect it to be better than everything else out there, but it seems as if Bioware has found something unique in that series... just as naughty dog found something I'd like to explore more in UC :P

Why do people care about which country their games are made in?

Japan is becoming less and less relevant in the gaming world. Mainly due to them producing generally low quality games on the consoles. FF was a bust this gen and there doesn't seem to be any high quality successor.. Jrpgs seemed have been generally lacking this gen, but luckily wrpgs have picked up the slack. One thing you should note though, is that on the handhelds, japanese devs destroy western devs no debate there and Nintendo still shows that they are not irrelevant.

I've never understoond why people still take FattyDingDong threads seriously.
